In 1986, the Computer Science Society and Micro Users Group joined forces to create one of De La Salle University's most renowned organizations, the La Salle Computer Society (LSCS). Over the past 38 years, LSCS has grown and evolved, becoming the pioneering organization in the College of Computer Studies, accredited by the Council of Student Organizations at De La Salle University. From its incep
tion, LSCS has remained committed to cultivating competent and well-rounded Lasallians who stay informed about the ever-evolving field of computer technology. In addition to supporting our members with their academic responsibilities, we continue to bridge the gap between faculty and students. We organize a diverse array of both on-campus and off-campus activities for the college community. Our on-campus offerings include academic seminars, programming competitions, leadership training, recreational activities, and social welfare initiatives, along with fundraising programs and bazaars. Off-campus, we engage in outreach programs and host company career talks, among other initiatives. In recent years, LSCS has adapted to changing circumstances and successfully transitioned to a hybrid and face-to-face setup, ensuring that we can continue to serve our members through a variety of events and projects that foster their personal and academic growth. As we look ahead, our commitment to developing well-rounded Lasallians remains as strong as ever.
