Bike Rotorua will provide free, secure bike parking for our "bike to football" kaupapa🎉!

🔥 What? Free secure bike parking, bike survey and prizes to be won!

🔥 When? Saturday, June 6th 8 AM - 12:30 AM

🔥 Where? Puarenga Park next to the coffee cart!

Slower speeds = Safer streets

Safer speeds around schools are coming, with new variable speed limits — here’s what you need to know:

🚸 New 30km/h variable speed zones will be in place near school entrances to help keep tamariki safe during peak times.
🚸 These apply on weekdays during the school term at drop-off and pick-up times: 8:00am–9:00am and 2:45pm–3:45pm.
🚸 New signs will be installed from May at local schools (pictured below). The limits are enforceable when operating.
🚸 Required under the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2024.

🚲 ORANGE BIKE RIDE – SUNDAY 3 MAY 2026 🧡

The Dutch Club is organising another Orange Bike Ride to celebrate everything Dutch and Dutch Week (18 April – 3 May).

This will be a fun, social and leisurely ride with coffee, lunch and a drink along the way (pay your own way).

🚲 Ride options:
• 24km (meet 9:30am at Dutch Club, Neil Hunt Park)
• 16km (meet ~10:30am at Aroma Café, Fenton & Pukaki St)
• 8km (meet 9:30AM short option to Aroma Café – ideal for families)

We finish around 3:30–3:45pm at Good Eastern Pub (Te Ngae Rd).
Not cycling? Feel free to join us there!

🧡 Ride any bike – normal or e-bike
🧡 Wear ORANGE and decorate your bike
🧡 Bring a friend – everyone welcome (Dutch or not!)
