💕 A Heartfelt Thank You 💕

The Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust would like to extend a huge thank you to Charlie from Sewing for Success for her incredibly generous donation of fabric and stuffing. Your kindness and support will make a real difference to local people navigating their breast cancer journey.

We would also like to acknowledge our talented trustee Lucy, who has lovingly transformed these materials into beautiful heart pillows. These special pillows provide comfort and support for people recovering from breast surgery, helping to ease pressure and discomfort under the arm, as well as offering cushioning from seatbelts when travelling.

It is acts of generosity like these that remind us how fortunate we are to have such a caring and supportive community standing behind us. Together, we can help make the journey a little more comfortable for those who need it most.

The Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Bailey Van Den Broek for hosting a wonderful Pink Breakfast and choosing to donate the funds raised to our trust.

Your generosity, hard work, and dedication are truly appreciated. Every dollar raised will stay right here in Rotorua, helping support local people and whānau who are navigating a breast cancer journey.

A special thank you also goes to Tremains for matching Bailey’s generous donation. Their support has effectively doubled the impact of this fundraising effort, meaning even more assistance can be provided to local people affected by breast cancer.

Community support like this makes a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone involved. Together, you are helping us continue to provide practical support, connection, and care to those who need it most.

💕 Meet Your Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust Team 💕

We would like to introduce ourselves – we are Sharyn, Beccy, Denise and Lucy, the Trustees behind Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust.

Our mission is to support members of our community who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer, currently undergoing treatment, or adjusting to life after treatment.

We offer a range of practical and emotional support services, including:

💗 Care bags for those undergoing breast surgery or radiation treatment

☕ Coffee mornings and Meet & Mingle evenings, providing opportunities to connect with others who understand the journey

🚗 Assistance towards physiotherapy and transport costs

🤝 A friendly ear, advice, and support when you need it most

Every breast cancer journey is unique, and we are here to help however we can. If you need support, or know someone who does, please reach out.

You may also know us through our annual Pink Walk, which is always wonderfully supported by our Rotorua community. Keep an eye on our page – details of this year’s Pink Walk will be coming soon!

Together, we can ensure nobody faces breast cancer alone.
