A JH Aotearoa parent and son/daughter experience is a 6-day action packed adventure that is transformational. The JH Aotearoa challenges and teachings create a bond between a parent and a teenager that will last far beyond the five-day event. JH Aotearoa is a place of ADVENTURE - From high ropes courses, to white water r

afting to mountain biking, these physical challenges are linked to spiritual truths. The adventure is exhilarating, exciting and inspirational. It is a place of CHALLENGE – where you will achieve things that you didn’t think you could, where you and your teenager will learn how to practically live out your faith, in your family and in your world. It is a place of DISCOVERY – where you can discover your identity, your strengths, and even your life purpose. It is a place of INSPIRATION – where you can take time out from the busy pace of life, in the beauty of creation and draw close to God. It is a place of RESTORATION – where relationships with God, and with family are built, strengthened, and deepened and where relationships with new friends are formed. JH Aotearoa is a place of TRANSFORMATION – where God is able to touch hearts and change lives and inspire us to be all that He created us to be. From a guest: “We were blown away by the enthusiastic support from the volunteers, from the moment we arrived onsite. Thank you so much for making us feel valued and welcome from the beginning. The food was so good (the fruit was so fresh!), and so very plentiful - a big highlight! I am very impressed by how well organized everything was. You truly made the most of the 6 short days we were there. You have clearly put your hearts into everything, and somehow you have transferred your enthusiasm and love to your volunteer staff.”

I know families who struggle with their teens and I know this program would be beneficial to them on so many levels. This is a lifeline, to both parent and child. So much healing and unraveling needs to take place in many lives. This program is life-changing. I will never forget this JH experience for as long as I live."

We’ve received some great teaching, and JH gave us the structure and the tools to break down the barriers and communicate with each other. The one-on- one talk times sorted out some real issues for us that we may have otherwise just lived with, which wasn’t healthy for either of us.

"I’ve learnt about hardships my mum has faced in her life and I feel like I understand her so much better now, I feel like our relationship has really grown."

"I learnt that my Mum and Dad truly love me"

"I learnt that my Dad loves me and that he is quite wise and that he only wants the best for me."

"Through doing the activities I’ve learnt courage and that I can overcome my fears."
