A huge Thank You from the OneBike team.

station have kindly donated a load of shelving and containers that was surplus to requirements on the farm. This is going to be so helpful, the place looks much better and the chaos is now a bit more organised. And we are reusing this shelving to give it a new life which ties beautifully into the OneBike ethos.

Thank you very much to the Royalburn team and to Karl for volunteering his time to deliver everything to us!

OneBike of the Week!

Now this bike really looks the part. Red frame and forks and shiny chrome parts all over it. This bike was lovingly put together by our regular volunteer Karl and he kindly donated it to us because he had too many bikes in his garage!

KHS are an American brand that have been making bicycles since 1974. This one is a steel frame made in Taiwan, I think in 1997. It may be almost 30 years old but it is fantastic condition and going to make a gorgeous commuter bike for someone.

Do you know someone with a classic bike stashed away that news a new home. Send them our way if they are willing to part with it.

GET ACTIVE & GET SUSTAINABLE THIS SPRING! 🌱

We are thrilled to share an awesome initiative from our friends at KiwiHarvest - registrations are now OPEN for their FREE Veggie Growing Planters! 🥬✨

At OneBike and The Lightfoot Initiative, active and sustainable living goes hand in hand. We are proud that materials used in these planter boxes have been repurposed directly through the Crunch Programme at the OneBike Hub—our upcycling initiative that diverts old bike parts and scrap materials away from landfill and back into our community. ❤️

How does KiwiHomeHarvest work?

1️⃣ Choose one of our 3 veggie-growing planter models that's best for your home
2️⃣ Choose an assembly event in Queenstown, Wānaka or Cromwell in Oct or Nov
3️⃣ Fill out our registration form

And we’re not simply handing you an empty planter and wishing you luck. 🍀 Successful applicants will get a complete growing package:

🥬 planter
🥬 compost
🥬 starter seedlings
🥬 self-watering system
🥬 frost/netting protection
🥬 a practical assembly event
🥬 gardening mentor support

Sound like a fun new adventure to sink your teeth into this spring?

OneBike of the Week!

This beautiful Kona Kula was donated to us recently. It's a lovely 26" aluminium hardtail from the early 2000s. Please comment and let us know if you know the exact year.

This is in great condition and ready to hit the Queenstown Trails.

If you know someone with a great old bike in their garage that isn't getting used, send them our way so we can find it a new home.

This is Jeremy. He came to OneBike looking for a retro bike to use as his everyday commuter. He found this classic Cannondale frame and forks and found some choice parts from our selection of salvaged bits and pieces to build up this beautiful bicycle.

We love when people come along and get involved with the repair process like this. And we love it when a cool frame has been sitting around waiting for the right moment and gets given a new lease of life.

Do you want to get stuck in and build yourself a classic commuter? Come and visit the OneBike hub to see what gems we have.

OneBike of the Week:

This is a stunning piece of mountain bike history, a 1997 Specialized Ground Control AIM Comp. This is the single pivot model. At this time they also had a 4 bar FSR linkage model which is the predecessor to the hugely popular Enduro.

We usually much prefer to see bikes being used but this might be the exception that belongs on display somewhere. If you know a retro bike nerd that would love this then put them in touch with us.
