Come along for a relaxed and welcoming day, focused on fun and friendly competition! No experience needed, everyone welcome.

Unreal day. On Saturday we came together for a Wheelchair Rugby Have-a-go day and it was so much more than we'd hoped for.

If you see Thomas around, give him a big thank you! He has been the driving force behind getting wheelchair rugby in Taranaki and has put hours of his free time in to getting this off the ground.

Massive thank you to the Manvilles from Manawatu Wheelchair Rugby for bringing your chairs all the way to Taranaki for us to use, there is no way we could have done this without you.

It was awesome having the coach of the Wheel Blacks, Gavin, there sharing his expertise with the group. We really appreciate you travelling all the way to Taranaki!

Rob from New Zealand Wheelchair Rugby has been guiding us from the start, we are so grateful for all your time and effort. Thank you for being there to run the session alongside Gavin (despite the road closure!)

And to everyone else who has helped so far, thank you, this truly shows what can be achieved together.

💛🖤Halberg Games 2026 🖤💛

Although the 2026 Halberg Games were a little shorter than usual, they were still filled with just as many moments of joy, connection and competition. What an incredible team we have representing Taranaki, we are so proud of every single athlete!

We have had amazing support from our community this year to help get all our athletes and supporters to the Games, we are all very grateful for the time and effort you have put in.

Massive thank you also to the Halberg Foundation for putting on another epic event, we had a blast!
