2026년 5월 31일 년총회와 미팅을 하였습니다.
지혜림 재무님과 김희덕 자문위원님의 임원진 마감과 감사장 및 꽃다발 전달 식이 있었습니다.
부분의 노력으로 타라나키 한인회가 늘 힘찼던것 같습니다. 앞으로도 임원직은 사퇴하셨지만 이모조모 도와주실 꺼라 믿습니다.
늘 건강하시길 기원합니다.

We held our Annual General Meeting on May 31, 2026!

We also had a meaningful time celebrating the wrap-up of terms for our Treasurer, Hyerim Ji, and Advisory Board Member, Heedeok Kim, by presenting them with certificates of appreciation and beautiful bouquets.

It is thanks to their hard work and dedication that The Korean Association of Taranaki, New Zealand has always been so full of energy. While they are stepping down from their official roles, we know they will still be there to lend a helping hand in many different ways.

We wish them both the very best of health and happiness always!

2026 Korean Language Speaking Contest

[Contest Overview]
· Application Period: February 26 – May 7
· Announcement of Results: May 26 (via The Korea Times newspaper and website)
· Eligibility: Foreign nationals and overseas Koreans whose native language is not Korean

[Categories]
· Speaking: Free topic or “What is your favorite K?” (Long-form / Short-form)
· Pronunciation: Korean Tongue Twister Challenge

[How to Apply]
· Create & Upload Video: Upload your video on your SNS (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) with the required hashtags
· Submit Application: Complete the online application form and submit your video link through the official submission page

[Benefits of Participation]
1. Certificate of Participation: Issued upon request
2. Internship Opportunity: One winner who is currently enrolled in a university (undergraduate/graduate) in Korea will be selected for a summer internship with The Korea Times video team

For the Taranaki Multi Ethnic Council Extravaganza parade preparation(cnay, chocolates, juice and rice crackers).
We will give this end of parade spot to our(KoreanGroup) attending marchers.
