Have a read of this post if you want to know more about what we do and what our rangatahi love about Q-Youth

We are a by-youth, for-youth charitable trust that was established to advance and support the needs of gender and sexual minorities in Te Tau Ihu. We exist to provide a safe, affirming environment where LGBTQIA+/Takatāpui young people feel valued, heard, and connected.

We serve the Nelson/Tasman region with drop-in groups, a young adults social group, education and training, local advocacy, and a wealth of resources for rangatahi and their whānau. We also liaise with the local schools’ q***r-straight alliances and arrange interschool events.

Donations are open until Monday at 11:59pm. We appreciate every single cent and the first $1,000 of eligible donations we receive will be doubled! Anything we raise beyond the first $1,000 also has a chance to be doubled. So get in quick and your Koha can go even further.

Even if you can't donate simply by sharing this post you are helping us immensely.
With your help we can continue to provide a safe and welcoming space for the youth of Whakatū and Te Tau Ihu.

We really appreciate your support

Q-Youth is having a Rainbow Mini Fest to raise funds as part of GiveOUT Day.
There will be a clothes/book swap, face painting & temporary tattoos, as well as some games and activities.
If you don't have any books or clothes to swap that isn't a problem—you can give an additional koha to fill a bag instead.

Join us to raise money to give our drop-in centre some much needed upgrades to make our youth feel more at home.

If you would like to help support us but can’t make it along then please feel free to donate to us.
