TS Talisman is 1 of the Sea Cadet Corps' 15 Units. Also know as Navy Cadets, we are part of the NZ Cadet Forces, which includes Army & Air Cadet Units.

This is an official page, so ensure all comments and postings are relevant to TS Talisman and adhere to the NZCF Social Media Policy. TS Talisman is located opposite the Nelson Police station in Harley Street during winter, and in the summer, at our boat shed located on Cross Quay off Akersten Street. We parade on Tuesday evenings from 1800 to 2100 during school terms. Mission: To encourage and inspire youth in their development, and to produce Leaders of the Future.

Rounded out term 3 with a PT night and some presentations 😀 💪 🎖️
After burpees, press ups, a beep test and some circuits, CPO D was presented his R***e Competency Badge and PO S was awarded her NZCF Marksman Badge 🎯
Outstanding efforts all round 🫡

Team TAL can't train without whiteboards ⬜
Network Tasman Trust provided Talisman with a generous grant that doubled the number of classrooms with whiteboard space 👍

On Saturday Team TAL supported the Merchant Navy Day commemoration and thanksgiving service. It was great to play our part in the acknowledgement of the service and sacrifice the Merchant Navy has made, and continues to make in NZ and globally ⚓

Team TAL spent the weekend at RNZAF Base Woodbourne ✈️ 🇳🇿
Fi****ms training, competitive shooting, eating, swim testing and just having an all round great time 😀
Big thanks to Nelson Cadet Unit for hosting and Bowater Group for the wheels 🚌
