Not every humanitarian wears a uniform.

Some wear gardening gloves.

Some cook a meal.

Some simply sit beside someone who needs company.

Every day, ordinary people quietly make extraordinary differences in their communities.

That's what humanitarian service looks like.

This World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate everyone who chooses kindness, compassion and service—whether it's helping one neighbour or supporting an entire community.

Because changing the world doesn't always begin with something big.

Thank you to every Lions volunteer, and to every person who chooses to make someone else's day a little brighter.

Thank you Lion Jim and Sheila such a great gift for the Tahunanui Community Hub -. Photo from left to right, Lion John, Sheila Jim and Murray.

We had some very special guests at our community dinner tonight!

Fellow Lions Jim and Sheila Pollitt had heard from John Bilderbeck and Yvonne Bilderbeck that we needed some heavy bottomed catering quality pots, which are hundreds of dollars to buy, and they very kindly bought us one!

Thank you!!
