KORA IS COMING TO Napier Community Patrol

Great news! Now you can save every time you fill up and support Napier Community Patrol at the same time with Kora! Tell your friends and neighbours and they too can save and help the club

Great savings for you.

Kora is a new fuel card that saves you money every time you fill up at Waitomo or Mobilcard accepting sites. As a Napier Community Patrol member or supporter, you get 10 cents off per litre that we can split between savings for you and support for Napier Community Patrol.

Extra funding for us.

A portion of that discount goes to supporting Napier Community Patrol and you can choose how much you want to contribute from 2c to 10c. It’s a win-win for everyone.

Kora links to your bank account or credit card and you use it to pay for your fuel. It’s great value, really convenient and because you clear your Kora card every billing cycle, you can save and stay in control.

Here’s how to apply for your Kora Card

1. Sign up online by clicking the link

2. Fill in your details and select your nominated payment method.

3. Start saving! Once your application is accepted your Kora cards will be couriered to you.

Kora membership costs $2 per month but let’s say you fuel up 50L at the petrol station, with your Kora discount you’ll save around $5 - that will be shared between you and Napier Community Patrol. And because there’s no limit to how many times you can use your Kora card, your monthly savings and contributions can really add up.

🚨 Join Napier Community Patrol – Help Keep Our Community Safe This Winter! ❄️

As we move into the colder months, the need for extra vigilance in our streets and neighbourhoods becomes even more important. The Napier Community Patrol is looking for committed volunteers to help keep our city safe and be the extra eyes and ears for Police during winter and beyond.

Are you:

18 years or older?

A holder of a current driver’s licence?

Able to commit to at least one 4-hour patrol per month?

Whether you're retired, working, or a student with time to give — your contribution can make a real difference.

You’ll receive full training, work in pairs, and be part of a friendly, dedicated team who take pride in supporting the safety of our community.

Tonight, at 7:00 PM, we gathered to honour the life and service of Senior Sergeant Lyn Fleming (LFE773). The candle lit vigil was a poignant reminder of her dedication, courage, and the positive impact she had with the Nelson community. Our thoughts continue to be with her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. 💙🇳🇿💙

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Nelson Police Senior Sergeant Lyn Fleming, who tragically lost her life in the line of duty. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Senior Sergeant Fleming dedicated her life to serving and protecting our communities, and her sacrifice will not be forgotten. We honour her bravery and commitment to duty.

We also extend our thoughts and support to the other officer's injured in this incident. We hope for a full and speedy recovery.

Our hearts go out to the member's of the public who were also injured. We wish them a swift and complete healing.

Rest in peace, Senior Sergeant Fleming.

Happy New Year from the Napier Community Patrol!

We extend our warmest wishes to the entire Napier community as we welcome 2025.

This past year has been filled with challenges, but also with moments of incredible community spirit.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our volunteers, our sponsors and the Napier community for allowing us to be able to do what we so passionately enjoy doing, that is being the eyes and eyes for Eastern District Police, in helping to keep Napier, a safer city; together!

As we move into the new year, we remain committed to:
🚨Working alongside our community: Building stronger relationships and addressing local concerns together.
🚨Providing a visible presence: Patrolling our neighborhoods to deter crime and ensure public safety.
🚨Supporting those in need: Offering assistance and support to vulnerable members of our community.
