Pacific Surf Life Saving Club

Pacific Surf Life Saving Club Pacific is Surf life Saving Club that is located in Hawkes Bay, on the Marine Parade. We provide community service in the form of life-guarding.

Kicking off in 1950 on the warm shingles of Marine Parade, Pacific Lifeguards have spent many a day patrolling the beach, and dabbling in the odd bit of surf-sport. Back in the days the beach had sand, woollen togs, and reel-rescues. Now, Pacific Lifeguards prefer Rescue tubes, knee boards, and IRB's (if they can get their hands on it). Pop down to the club and go for a casual swim with the guards

- between the flags of course. Or instead take a stroll along the Rotary Pathway (be sure to slip, slop, slap).

SWIMMING!!! This Wednesday (26) we have the Ocean Spa pool lanes booked from 6-7pm to get some laps in to prep for the season. $4 entry at reception

6:00-6:30: Nippers.
This is for all Nippers but especially those that are newer and haven’t done their 200m sign off; getting signed off on 200m will allow you to venture further off shore and take part in carnivals. This is also a great chance to build confidence floating and treading water for our younger age group!

6:30-7:00: Lifeguards / training lifeguards.
Another opportunity to time and refresh 400m swim times. If you are training for a lifeguard course this season and would like to practise your 400m please come as well.

Awesome work this morning team 🤩
