Katahi te rā whakahirahira ko tēnei!
Kua hoki mai ngā kohine ki te wharenoho hou mo tō mātou kura!

Yesterday was an awesome day! We seen the kohine return to the Hukarere Wharenoho!

There have been a lot of whanau working behind the scenes to have the kohine return, with the deepest thanks going out to each and everyone of you!

Big mihi to the whanau, parents and Kohine for keeping with our Kura over this time and ensuring our Kohine and Kura remained connected!

Our Hukarere Whanau were on hand to welcome back our kohine in the closed return of our kohine. With the kaimahi of the wharenoho, our Principal, Chaplin, teachers, Old Girls and Hāhi, with the Old Girls supporting the wharenoho in the immediate future.
There will be an official public opening in the weeks to come.

Welcome home Kohine Ma! Kia Ū ki te Pai!

As we are coming into the new week, we reflect on our Maranga Mai Hukarere wananga at Pukemokimoki Marae in Napier.
The wananga was our way to awhi and tautoko our current kohine and staff following the events in mid February.
To bring our kohine and staff back together again, to provide awhi with both education, kapa haka, history of the kura and to keep the faith within our kohine and staff that Hukarere will continue to rise again, like we have done many times before.

There were feelings of excitement and sadness, happiness and anxious, love and hope spread throughout the wananga, with the girls returning home post wananga excited with the next phase of our Kura Journey.

Nga mihi hoki ki te whanau o Wharerangi I tiaki, I awhi I nga kohine mai waho o Kahungunu te po I mua I te wananga, a ki a Te Rau College ki Turanga hoki

Here are some of the photos and videos gathered from the weekend.
