Henley Lake parkrun

09/10/2026

Congratulations to Oscar Brider aged 14, who stepped up to Run Director role this morning, supported by our slightly older RD Lindsay.

Could Oscar be the youngest male RD in New Zealand???

It's parkrun eve! and in a completely unsurprising development, Philip has been snapped wearing his regular tutu at Queen Elizabeth, Kāpiti Coast last weekend 😜

See you at Men’s Shed next to Henley Lake tomorrow from 7:50am! ✨

Happy parkruneve! Where will you be joining us tomorrow? 🌳

📸 Thank you to Volunteer Photography Ambassador, Mark Hutchings, for this lovely photo from Queen Elizabeth parkrun, Kapiti Coast 📍

Event Summary for Henley Lake parkrun #57

03/10/2026

Henley Lake parkrun #57 run report by our lovely Vivien:

We made it! – just before the rain started. 106 runners / walkers took part in Henley Lake parkrun #57.

There were several people wearing tutus – for the curious this was to celebrate 22 years of parkruns. Started in Bushy Park, London, 22 years ago it has grown to the phenominal global success it is today.

We didn’t celebrate any milestones today but welcomed people from Wales, Sydney, Wellington and Hawkes Bay. There were 10 first timers and 23 people achieved personal bests. To see all the results google parkrun Henley Lake and enjoy reading all the statistics.

Thank you to the 9 volunteers. Without the volunteers parkruns can’t take place so please consider putting your name down to help out.
