Introducing The CatWalk Stud! 🐎

CatWalk Stud is a unique, fundraising first. It’s a virtual stud that brings together every sector of the equine breeding industry to help drive spinal cord injury research 💜

Participating studs have pledged the value of stallion services to CatWalk Trust to fund research aimed at turning breakthroughs in spinal cord injury treatment into real-world outcomes.

“We’re honoured to play a small part in supporting such a worthwhile initiative.” – Stacey White, Woodlands Stud NZ

Great to be in the room with such impressive minds, all focussed on spinal cord jnjury research. Together we will find a cure!

💡 Today, leading researchers funded by SpinalCure Australia and others in the spinal cord injury (SCI) sector gathered in Sydney for the Spinal Cord Injury Cure Summit 2026 to detail transformative research and clinical advances in SCI treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.

Hosted by SpinalCure Australia and funded by NSW Health, the two-day Summit is bringing together researchers to foster collaboration and address key challenges facing the field.

For decades, spinal cord injury has been considered permanent. Today, growing evidence across multiple research streams is changing what’s possible and strengthening optimism for the future.✨

With 21,000 Australians currently living with spinal cord injury, the need for innovation and investment has never been greater. Over the next two days, experts from across Australia and New Zealand will explore emerging opportunities to improve outcomes for people living with SCI.

The Cure Summit is one initiative outlined in SpinalCure Australia’s inaugural Roadmap Toward a Cure for Spinal Cord Injury, to be released later this year. Developed in collaboration with stakeholders across the country, the Roadmap identifies critical actions needed to accelerate progress toward a cure and ensure life-improving advances reach people living with spinal cord injury as quickly as possible.

We’re proud to bring together the brilliant researchers, passionate advocates and courageous lived-experience leaders helping drive this movement forward.

Bayleys Battlers, you ROCK!!!

Thank you so much for your support - and best wishes for what will be a long day on Saturday. We know you'll smash it!

Love your work Bayleys Real Estate 🙏🩵🙏🩵

🏃‍♀️This weekend I’m taking on the Hawke’s Bay Marathon 10km as part of the Bayleys Battlers team, and we’re raising funds for the amazing The CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust.

CatWalk is dedicated to funding groundbreaking spinal cord injury research right here in New Zealand, with the goal of helping restore movement and function for those living with spinal cord injuries.

If you’re able to support this incredible cause, any donation big or small would mean a lot and goes towards helping fund life-changing research.

A new chapter for one of our favourite events ⛳️

We’re proud to announce that this year’s CatWalk Golf Open will be sponsored by Generate KiwiSaver Scheme.

As a proudly Kiwi-owned wealth management company helping New Zealanders invest in their futures, Generate’s support means a huge amount to us, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them behind this event 👏

We’re also honoured to introduce the Ollie Bradshaw Memorial Trophy, recognising the impact this event continues to have in his memory 🏆

Join us on the green 5th November 2026 for a great day driving spinal cord injury research.

Our friends at The University of Adelaide need your help 💜

We know cognitive training can improve things like memory and attention after a spinal cord injury. The problem is, many tools are just too hard to use if your mobility is also affected.

The team at Adelaide University have created NeuroOrb. It’s a serious gaming system designed to make cognitive training more engaging and easier to use. It targets key areas affected after a spinal cord injury to help maintain or improve cognitive function over time.

75 Kiwis have already joined in. They’re looking for 15 more. Complete the training and you’ll receive a NZ$200 voucher 🙋

To be eligible you must:
• Have had a traumatic spinal cord injury more than 12 months ago
• Be over 18 years of age
• Speak fluent English

Time commitment: 16 hours over 4–5 weeks
