Douglas Villa AFC produced a tactical masterclass against Palmerston North United on Saturday afternoon in Central League 2. Disciplined and well organised without the ball, and a constant threat in possession, they ran out deserved 3–0 winners and lifted themselves off the bottom of the table. 👏⚽️

⚫⚪🟠 Congratulations to Our Latest C Licence Graduates! ⚫⚪🟠

Big congratulations to Douglas Villa AFC Men’s First Team Head Coach Riki Riddell and players Simon Mazey and Caleb Anstis on achieving their OFC/NZF C Licence coaching qualification 👏⚽

This is a fantastic achievement and a great investment in the future of our club. The C Licence helps develop coaching knowledge, session delivery, and player development, skills that will have a positive impact right across Douglas Villa AFC.

A huge thank you as well to WBS Charitable Trust for their generous grant funding, which supported these club members to attend the course 🖤🤍🧡

🙏 Thank You Trillian Trust 🙏

Douglas Villa AFC would like to extend a huge thank you to Trillian Trust for their generous grant funding.

Thanks to their support, we have been able to purchase much-needed equipment for our junior teams, including new goals, footballs, goalkeeper gloves, and first aid kits.

The goals and footballs have already been well used in training sessions, helping our young players develop their skills and enjoy the game. The goalkeeper gloves have been proudly worn in matches, giving our keepers confidence between the posts.

Importantly, this funding has allowed us to provide each team with their own first aid kit, ensuring we can better support the safety and wellbeing of our players. We have also been able to purchase a main first aid kit to be kept in the clubrooms, further strengthening our ability to respond when needed.

We are incredibly grateful for their contribution to grassroots football in our community.
