Our Animal team will be at Sparks Park tomorrow from 4pm to 6pm offering subsidised microchipping for your pooch.
No booking required - just pop along and get it sorted.
$10 standard or $20 for thermal (cash only).

If your dog is microchipped but you'd like to check it's still in working order, the team are also very happy to assist.

A post from Robert: On Sunday 1 March I lost my number one companion. Radar died of old age at 13.5 years. Not a bad innings for a Hunterway. He was my retirement dog and together we got up to many adventures. Initially in Wellington and then the Wairarapa. His favourite walk was to the top of Mt Holsworth. Any walk we did in the Tararuas he would always try leading me up the tracks that would lead to the tops.
The photo of Radar standing in the stream was taken only a few days before he passed away, at the Dalefield Mountain Bike park. Maybe not his best photo but one that is special to me.
I will still go on the monthly dogwalks with Roxy - the stroppy Kelpie, and eventually a new companion for her.

Hi everyone on the Wai Dogwalk group page. We have lots of new and loyal followers - so thought I'd say hello to you all- just in case you don't know me. I'm Sandra and have been part of the group for over 5 years. I manage this page and take/upload the photos on our walks. Marley and I have been really grateful for this lovely community and the monthly walks. Sadly Marley died peacefully on Tuesday 17th February after being diagnosed with liver disease in January (he just made it to his 9th birthday). We loved being there for the January river walk and sorry we couldn't do one more walk with you all to Mikimiki. I'll be taking a bit of a break from the group for a while- but I'll still maintain the Events and this page. If you have photos you take on walks- please email or message them through and I'll load them up. I'm sure I'll be back once the right pup comes into my life. Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone- due to the Orange weather warning - we will NOT be going ahead with todays walk at Mikimiki. Keep an eye out for next months walk- will update our Events soon.
