Netball Wairarapa Kia ora and welcome to Netball Wairarapa's page. We offer a range of social & competitive netball programmes for all ages and stages.

Netball Wairarapa Centre forms part of the Wellington region along with Hutt Valley, Kapi Mana, Wellington and Kapiti. Netball Wairarapa is responsible for the running and development of Netball in the Wairarapa province. The competition is run by a group hardworking volunteers. Secondary and Senior Teams play in a mixed Competition based at Colombo courts Masterton (9am - 3pm).

πŸ’– POSITIVE VIBES ONLY πŸ’–

Netball Wairarapa is proud to be joining forces with sporting codes across the Wairarapa to support the kaupapa Positive Vibes Only.

This nationwide initiative is all about creating positive, supportive sporting environments by encouraging respect, kindness and encouragement from the sidelines. Originally piloted by Sport Waikato and Hamilton City Netball in August 2023. Together, we can help make sport an enjoyable experience for everyone involved, especially our tamariki and rangatahi.

Keep an eye out at games for our amazing club game day volunteers wearing bright pink vests. They are a friendly reminder to support, encourage and respect everyone involved in the game.

A huge thank you to Mangan Graphics for sponsoring the pink vests.

🏐 Marjorie Jenden Tournament Wrap-Up 🏐

The annual Marjorie Jenden Tournament was held over the weekend, providing a fantastic opportunity for our players and umpires to kick off their representative season! πŸ’šβ€οΈ

Well done to our U14, U16 and U18 teams for their efforts across the weekend. There were some great performances on court, valuable lessons learned, and plenty of positives to build on as we continue our rep campaign. It's always exciting to see players testing themselves against quality opposition and identifying areas to keep developing.

A huge thank you to Netball Kāpiti Centre for hosting a well-run tournament and to all the volunteers who helped make the weekend a success. πŸ‘

Special thanks also to our dedicated team management, coaches, managers, supporters, and our NWC umpires, who received valuable feedback and support from umpire coaches throughout the tournament. Your commitment plays a huge role in the development of our representative programme.

⭐ Next Up: The Betty Steffensen Tournament in Palmerston North on 14 June. We can't wait to see our teams back in action!
