'Hope is a shovel
and will give you blisters'
~ Join NADINE HURA at Carterton Library, June 7 ~
In the midst of converging crises, it can be easy to lose hope, but there ARE things we can do, there are responses we can activate, personally and collectively.
Bring your questions, enthusiasm, even despair. No one leaves depressed!
1-2.30 — Kōrero with Nadine Hura & Ricky Utting & all.
We'll have a broad-ranging conversation on the intersections of climate change and colonialism and why Tiriti o Waitangi is the most powerful tool we have for climate action in Aotearoa. Plus Q+A and readings from Nadine's book, Slowing the Sun.
3-4.30 — Zine-making with Nadine Hura & Cameron McCausland-Taylor & all.
Let's get practical, interactive and creative, with zine-making inspiration. Creativity is a response that heal and restore our connections to land and community.
FREE. For all ages.
Come to one or both sessions!
