💜 A heartfelt thank you to Safewise! 💜

We are incredibly grateful to the amazing team at Safewise for choosing Rainbow Place as the charity to support during their recent "Under Pressure: What High-Performing Teams Do Differently" workshop.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and donated koha, an incredible $2,010 was raised in the form of Sensory Sam gift cards.

These vouchers will help us continue to build and enhance the resources in our sensory and respite rooms, ensuring the children and young people in our care have access to engaging, therapeutic, and calming spaces that support their individual needs.

It was a privilege to join the Safewise team on the day and share more about the work we do and the difference this generous support will make. We are continually inspired by organisations that invest not only in creating strong, resilient workplaces but also in making a meaningful impact in their communities.

From everyone at Rainbow Place, thank you to the Safewise team and everyone who contributed. Your generosity will make a real difference to the children and whānau we have the privilege of supporting. 💙🌈

💛 Support Rainbow Place & Hospice Waikato at your local New World 💛

We are incredibly grateful to be partnering with New World in a special fundraising campaign supporting the important work of both Rainbow Place and Hospice Waikato.

Every donation helps us continue providing compassionate care, support, and comfort to children, young people, patients, and whānau across our community during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Hospice services across Aotearoa rely heavily on community fundraising and donations to continue providing free care and support to families who need it most.

Next time you’re shopping at New World, keep an eye out for ways you can support the campaign. No matter how big or small, every contribution makes a real difference.

Thank you to New World and our amazing community for standing alongside us and helping make compassionate care possible. 💕

Yesterday’s Government announcement of a $15.5 million investment into specialist paediatric palliative care is a significant and hopeful step forward for children and whānau across Aotearoa.

For many families caring for a child with a life limiting or life threatening condition, access to specialist support has depended heavily on where they live. This investment recognises the importance of ensuring children and families can receive compassionate, expert care closer to home, surrounded by the people who matter most.

At Rainbow Place, we see every day the strength, resilience, and love within the families we support. We know how vital accessible paediatric palliative care services are not only for children, but for siblings, parents, and wider whānau navigating incredibly challenging journeys.

We welcome this commitment to growing specialist services, building workforce capacity, and improving equity of access across New Zealand.

Most importantly, this announcement acknowledges that every child deserves dignity, comfort, compassion, and quality care, wherever they are in the country.

We look forward to seeing the positive difference this investment will make for children and families now and into the future 🌈

The care would be delivered by dedicated specialist teams in both the North and South islands.
