As we prepare ourselves to celebrate Matariki, so too are the kaikōrero taking the M9 stage. Kāore i tua atu i tēnei whakaritenga kaikōrero whakanui ai i a Matariki, anō hoki ngā toi Māori katoa. Check out the rest of our line up sharing their mātauranga on Toi Māori!

These four kaikōrero have been trailblazers in their mahi, some who have learnt the mātauranga over generations, and some by reconnecting to their ao Māori and sharing it with us on July 6th.

Inanahi rā i hinga ai tētahi tōtara haemata o te waka o Tainui.

Ngāti Koata sadly acknowledges the passing of kaumatua Ngarau (Tuki) Tupaea aged 90 years and beloved husband of Aunty Puhanga Hemi. Uncle Ngarau passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon.

Once we have the details we will update this post with the tangi proceedings once they have been finalised.
