Rodger Wright Harm Reduction Network is looking for volunteers who share our commitment to equity, respect, and harm reduction.

One of our team puts it best..."I want to use my lived experience to support others with dignity, compassion, and without judgement, because I know how much being truly listened to can change a person's life.”

If you’re non-judgemental, compassionate, and genuinely interested in supporting people who use drugs, we’d love to hear from you. Lived experience of drug use is especially welcomed and valued.

We offer flexible, part‑time volunteer roles across Nelson, Dunedin, and Christchurch, with hours shaped around your life.

Your time, your experience, and your support can make a real difference.

Our amazing DIVO Rodger Wright Harm Reduction team — Margaret and Serena 👏 — were out recently promoting and our harm reduction kaupapa to students during Otago Polytechnic Winter Wellness Week.

A huge thank you to Otago Polytechnic for inviting us and for hosting such a fantastic event with more than 30 community health organisations present supporting student wellbeing 💙

Ōtautahi team celebrate 17 yrs of working towards the elimination of Hep C 👏

💛 Today is We celebrated 17 years of Hep C mahi with kai to thank our committed team — all helping move Aotearoa closer to eliminating Hepatitis C.

Our Hep C services are free, walk‑in, and available through community sites, mobile outreach, and peer‑led testing across Te Waipounamu, Te Tai Tokerau, and Te Manawa Taki.

• Pre‑ and post‑test support
• Rapid testing + GeneXpert diagnosis
• FibroScan liver health checks

Today marks World Hepatitis Day, a day of global awareness for the Hepatitis virus.
There is approximately 18,000 people living in Aotearoa are living with Hepatitis C. It can be hard to know if you have Hep C because symptoms can be mild and generic (e.g. body aches, nausea, tiredness and fatigue etc.), or you may have no symptoms at all.
To find out if you have been exposed to Hep C just involves a quick 5‑minute finger‑prick test.
Hep C is 99% curable through the Maviret treatment
