Nurturing Families (Formally known as Mummy's In Need) is a not for profit charity that aims to nurture big and little lives through providing essentials to vulnerable families in our community. Nurturing Families works as a support agency for various other organisation's by providing them with items to pass on to their clients. If you are needing assistance please get in touch with your midwife or case worker and have them refer you.

Meet our very first donor and the very first name on our Hero’s Board.

This incredible young lady is Grace, and she runs her own little business, .co.nz , where she chooses to donate part of what she earns to charities making a difference.

This month, she chose Nurturing Families.

Today, Grace donated $100 to help support children and families doing it tough and, thanks to our matched partners, that $100 instantly became $200!

Thank you, Grace, for leading the way and reminding us that generosity has no age limit. We think you’re pretty amazing. ❤️

Today marks the start of We Are Their Village 2026.

For the next week, we’re inviting our community to come together and help support children and families who are going without the basics.

Every dollar donated will help us provide practical essentials to families.

We are so close!

As we head towards the launch of We Are Their Village 2026, we are just $5,000 short of reaching our $50,000 matched funding goal.

We’re hoping there might be one business, family, or generous supporter out there who would love to step in and help us get across the line.
