Bismillahi-r Rahmani-r Rahim

“The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ went out to a circle – meaning, of his Companions – and said: ‘What are you doing?’ They said: ‘We have come together to pray to Allāh and praise Him for guiding us to His religion, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮.’ He ﷺ said: ‘I ask you, by Allāh, is that the only reason?’ They said: ‘By Allāh, we have not come together for any other reason.’ He ﷺ said: ‘I am not asking you to swear to an oath because of any suspicion; rather Jibrīl came to me and told me that 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚̄𝐡, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬.’”

‎[Sunan an-Nasāʿī, 5426; Ṣaḥīḥ]

‎So they (the Ṣaḥāba) 1) gathered, 2) in a Masjid, 3) in a circle, 4) to thank Allāh and 5) to commemorate the arrival of the Beloved ﷺ. The Messenger ﷺ not only accepted all this, but told them that Allāh praised them for this.

‎This is Mawlid. This is the Sunnah. This is clear and explicit evidence that gathering to commemorate the arrival of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ is in fact a Sunnah. If you think that there are many bidʿahs being done in the name of the Mawlid then don’t commit them yourself. Just do this and it is enough. Keep it simple then.

But remember this simplicity when you get married, when your children get married, and when they graduate, and when they achieve some personal goal they want to celebrate. Loving the Messenger ﷺ more than your children, parents and all people means that you do more for him ﷺ than for them. So if you spend thousands to celebrate weddings, yet spend nothing to celebrate him ﷺ, then there is something wrong with your priorities and your love for him ﷺ.

💚 𝐌𝐀𝐖𝐋𝐈𝐃 𝐔𝐍 𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐈 ﷺ 💚

"It is proven that Abu Lahab’s punishment of fire is reduced on every Monday because he rejoiced on birth of 𝐑𝐚𝐬ū𝐥𝐮𝐥𝐥ā𝐡 صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم and freed the slave woman Thuwaiba رضي الله عنها .
When Abu Lahab, whose eternal abode is hell fire and regarding whom whole surah of Tabad Yada (i.e. Surah Lahab) was revealed, he gets Takhfif in his torment every Monday then Imagine the situation of a (Mu'min) who has spent his life in rejoicing over birth of Sayyiduna Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم and died as a Believer."

Day 29 💚

Realise The Purpose of Fasting 💚

يا أيُّها الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيامُ كَما كُتِبَ عَلى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
“…Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may attain taqwā (piety and mindfulness of Allah).” (2:183)

Taqwā is to protect yourself from the punishment of Allah by avoiding His prohibitions and implementing His commands.

When we fast, we temporarily make harām on ourselves what is usually halāl (eating, drinking etc). This teaches us to say ‘NO!’ to our nafs and inner desires. This helps our taqwā to grow, making it easier to restrain ourselves from harām throughout the year

Day 28 💚

There are two words which are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and loved by the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdi, SubhanAllahi al-azeem (Glorified is Allah and praised is He, Glorified is Allah the Most Great).

Explanation:

The remembrance of Allah is what gives comfort to the heart and soul. In this hadith, the Prophet (ﷺ) informs us of the great blessings that result from two particularly short phrases verbalized on a Muslim’s tongue. The word tasbeeh means to negate from Allah every type of defect and imperfection. The most typical phrase used to do this in Arabic is to say SubhanAllah. The two phrases mentioned are easy to say in any situation without difficulty. A person can repeat them over and over again often and this is why the Prophet (ﷺ) recommended it.
