Term 4 Enrolements Are Open! ✨

Find a safe, empowering space to move, create, and connect this term. Dance and Art Therapy NZ offers accessible and inclusive art and movement programmes designed to support diverse needs, abilities, and lived experiences across Aotearoa.

Discover Our Term 4 Programmes:

STARS (Dance Movement Therapy): Fun, active, and inclusive workshops where tamariki and rangatahi with disabilities can experience the joy of dance, be completely themselves, and express their unique STAR qualities! (Welcoming new tamariki in Howick & Mt Albert!)

Arts 4 Us (Group Art Therapy): A drop-in group arts therapy programme for school-aged children. Art is used as a medium to aid self-esteem and confidence, strengthen self-identity, and develop art skills. (Welcoming new participants in Ōrākei!)

Dance 4 Us (Youth & Adults 15+): Dynamic dance movement therapy groups for people aged 15+ with cognitive, physical, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Arts 4 All (Youth & Adults 15+): Creative arts therapy groups for people aged 15+ with cognitive, physical, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

We also offer Individual & Clinical Therapy (All Ages): 1-on-1 personalised arts and movement therapy, including specialised support for trauma recovery.

Individuals (18+) identifying as female who have an accepted claim with ACC’s Sensitive Claims Service (SCS), who are able to practice basic self-regulation skills and are ready for group work.

🧘 Auckland: ACC Embracing Your Body: Yoga/Dance Movement Therapy
8 weeks of weekly sessions or a two day retreat style over a weekend.
Trauma memories are stored in the body, and feelings associated with fear, shame, insecurity, and self-blame are no strangers to survivors of trauma. Using the frameworks of yoga and dance movement therapy (DMT), we can cultivate inner calm in challenging times, nurture presence and wellbeing through guided movement practices, provide a creative space to offer options of self care for individual needs and bring greater resilience to the nervous system through grounding and centering resources.
