🌺 In celebration of Samoan Language week - June 2026 🇼🇸
“E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le ‘nu’u -
From the high mountains are the blessings of the village”
🌺 We are deeply honoured and incredibly excited to have award-winning artist, curator, and cultural practitioner Rosanna Raymond for Mamalu – A Lineage Embodied.
🌺 A pioneering artist, storyteller, curator, and founding member of the Pacific Sisters, Rosanna’s practice has profoundly shaped contemporary Pacific and Indigenous art both within Aotearoa and internationally. Her work continues to challenge and expand conversations around embodiment, ancestral knowledge, cultural sovereignty, and the vā — the relational spaces that connect us.
📅 Friday 5th June
⏰4.30pm – 6.30pm
📍 Te Oro - 98 Line road, Glen Innes
🌺 Through projects such as SaVAge K’lub and decades of collaborative cultural work, Rosanna has created powerful spaces for Pacific storytelling, performance, adornment, and Indigenous knowledge systems to be seen, activated, and celebrated.
This workshop centres the malu as a living archive of identity, genealogy, and Indigenous knowledge — inviting reflection through discussion, writing, drawing, and embodied practice.
