Manurewa Marae

Our National Hui last week was represented by 9 youth focused boxing gyms from across the country. One of the highlights was being able to send each of these groups home with a pile of sports balls to share with rangatahi in their own communities.

Thanks to the Pass It Forward initiative, 1000's of balls are donated each year so that more kids across New Zealand can get active, play sport and have fun!

A huge thanks to our friends over at Community Connect - Pūmanawa Āwhina Supporting Community for supplying the balls to Champions Initiative to share with our academies, and to Silver Fern Sport, Rebel Sport NZ and Tania Dalton Foundation for partnering to make this initiative possible!

We love supporting our communities 🙌

New gear, big smiles, and regular touch training sessions on the way! 🏉

A huge thank you to Silver Fern Sport and Rebel Sport NZ for generously donating Pass It Forward balls and touch gear for some of the people we support across the Hibiscus Coast and Ōrewa area.

This equipment will help our teams get active, build skills, enjoy time together, and take part in regular touch sessions in their community.

🏉🧡 Ngāti Whātua recently gathered in Kaiwaka for their very first iwi hākinakina day, bringing together whānau, tamariki, and community through the power of sport.

It’s awesome to see the impact of the Pass It Forward equipment in our communities — creating opportunities for connection, participation, and fun while strengthening whānau bonds.

Moments like these remind us that sport is so much more than the game itself. It brings people together, builds a sense of belonging, and creates lasting memories for generations to come.
