The smallest moments often make the biggest difference.

A conversation at a stall.
A smile from a staff member.
A plate of food.
A health check.
A new connection.
A helping hand.

They may seem small in the moment, but together they create something much bigger.

They strengthen families.
They connect communities.
They open doors to support, opportunity, and wellbeing.

Our Wellbeing Community Outreach was a reminder that positive change doesn’t always start with big gestures.

Sometimes it starts with simply showing up 🧡

This year’s theme, “Karina te ang, tauraoi nakon te mwioko ao kabura rikiara ni Kiribati,” reminds us to strive diligently, fulfil our responsibilities, and proudly uphold our Kiribati identity.

It is a celebration of language, culture, and the values that connect generations and strengthen our communities.

Happy Kiribati Language Week to everyone celebrating 🧡

Who has the greater responsibility to preserve our culture?

As part of Samoan Language Week, our Tangaroa College students explored this important question through debate, sharing their perspectives on the role of elders and youth in carrying our language and culture into the future.

At Fonua Ola, we believe culture is valued and celebrated. By encouraging young people to engage in conversations like these, we help nurture future leaders who will carry our language, values, and traditions forward with integrity, hope, and pride 🧡
