Our own Sue Coutts spoke to Lisa Owen on RNZ's Checkpoint last night about the Container Return Scheme bill that has gone into Parliament's biscuit tin (private members' bill). People might remember as a kid collecting glass fizzy bottles to return to the dairy for a bit of pocket money. Well, we know bringing back a nationwide container scheme would reduce litter and council costs. As it is now, about four million drink containers go to landfill or end up as litter every day in Aotearoa. What an absolute inspirational evening for all of us great night, our little humble Garden Marae in amongst all these amazing people doing amazing work all around the country. An honor for our Mokopuna to have this experience looking smart eating some nice food and meeting some very Extraordinary People.
