Today our Mana Tūroa rangatahi were welcomed into Ngā Manu a Toi Studios 🖌️
We were inspired by the kōrero and mahi shared by some awesome Māori artists, opening our rangatahi up to new ideas and possible pathways in the creative space.

We've grown, but our kaupapa remains the same.

Over the past six months, Hāpai Tūhono has grown to better meet the needs of our hapori. While we've expanded the support we offer, our commitment to walking alongside rangatahi and whānau and providing culturally grounded career support hasn't changed.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be introducing each of our services and sharing practical tips to help you or your whānau with your education and mahi journey.

Last Monday, we had the privilege of welcoming kaumātua Martin Cooper and representatives of Waikato-Tainui into our space to bless our new Level 4 floor.

It was a special way to open the space — grounding it in tikanga, acknowledging those who have come before us, and setting the tone for the mahi ahead.

We’re really excited to have this new papa ready to go. It gives us more room to grow, strengthens the way we support our rangatahi and whānau, and helps us create a space that feels warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive.
This space will also be available for hire, providing a place for our wider community to come together.

Level 4 will now be the main entry point into our services, with Zatrius based at reception to mihi and manaaki everyone coming through. If you’re visiting us, this is where you’ll be welcomed in.

Ngā mihi nui ki a Tainui for your time, guidance, and presence with us. We’re grateful to begin this next chapter in the right way.

We’re looking forward to seeing this space come to life and welcoming our community into it soon. Mauri ora 🤍
