The Bauchi Women Agenda officially inaugurated it's new executive team, bringing together women committed to advancing the voices, participation, and leadership of women across Bauchi State.

‎We are proud to share that She-AlertCare Foundation is a member of the Bauchi Women Agenda, and our Executive Director, Amb. Blessing Mathias Gidado has emerged as the new Chairperson of the Agenda alongside other newly inaugurated executives.

‎In her remarks, she reaffirmed her commitment to providing inclusive leadership that carries every woman along, while representing the mandate and vision of the Bauchi Women Agenda thus; empowering and promoting meaningful inclusion of women in politics, careers, leadership, decision-making, and every sphere of society.
‎
‎As this new chapter begins, we look forward to stronger collaboration, greater representation, and more opportunities for women to participate, lead, and shape the future of our communities.

‎BUILDING MEN AND BOYS AS ALLIES FOR GENDER EQUALITY

‎ She-AlertCare Foundation participated in a 4-Day Capacity Building Training on Positive Masculinity to Strengthen Gender-Transformative Programming and Address Social Norms, Gender Inequalities and Harmful Masculinities through Structural Learning, organized by UNFPA in collaboration with Bauchi State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development with facilitation from YouthhubAfrica at Yimir Hotels and Suites, Bauchi.
‎
‎The training brought together Government MDAs, CSOs, PWDS, stakeholders ,religious and traditional leaders, providing an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of positive masculinity, gender norms, power relations, gender inequalities, harmful masculinities, and gender-transformative approaches. Through interactive sessions, group exercises, reflections and shared experiences, participants explored practical ways to challenge harmful social norms and promote healthier, more equitable relationships and communities.
‎T'was a knowledge filled exercise with added insight on NGO photography and also learning practical ways to leveraging on AI in advancing youth-led digital activism
‎
‎For She-Alert Care Foundation, the learning strengthens our commitment to advancing gender equality, preventing GBV, engaging men and boys positively, and promoting safer and more inclusive communities.

SAFE CORNER: A SPACE TO LEARN, UNLEARN & BE HEARD

She-AlertCare Foundation brought adolescent boys and girls together at the American Space, Bauchi, for an engaging Safe Corner Discussion focused on Mental Health Awareness and Sexual & Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

With about 20 adolescents in attendance, the session created an open and supportive environment for meaningful conversations. The mental health session placed significant emphasis on understanding mental health, recognizing emotional and psychological challenges, breaking the stigma surrounding seeking help, and encouraging adolescents to reach out for support when needed.

From understanding mental health and challenging misconceptions to learning about SGBV, consent, personal boundaries, and the importance of speaking up, the Safe Corner provided a space where young people could ask questions, share perspectives, learn, and unlearn.
It was more than a discussion; it was a moment of connection, awareness, reflection, and learning.

With She-Alert Care Foundation, Safe Corner is here to stay—until we build communities where young people feel safe, heard, supported, and empowered to thrive.

This September, She-AlertCare Foundation is creating a SAFE CORNER DISCUSSION FORUM strictly for 'adolescent boys and girls' to engage in open and meaningful conversations focused on mental health awareness, SGBV, and drug abuse sensitization.
The avenue is promising to give young minds opportunities into real-life talks and discussions alongside experienced mentors.

Every young person deserves a space where they can speak freely, ask questions, learn, and be heard.
