The Malta Chamber of SMEs, as the organiser of the Malta Business Awards, wishes to inform the public that neither the Malta Chamber of SMEs nor the Awards organisers are currently contacting companies or arranging meetings with businesses for the purpose of applying for the Awards.

🟠🟣 The Malta Chamber of SMEs earlier today welcomed a business delegation from Tunisia and organised a B2B networking meeting with Maltese businesses and members of the Chamber. 🇲🇹 🇹🇳

The event, held at Malta Enterprise, was organised in collaboration with the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and aimed to strengthen commercial ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation between businesses from both countries.

During the opening session, Malta Chamber of SMEs COO, Mr Andrew Aquilina, highlighted the importance of fostering stronger business relations between Malta and Tunisia.

The President of the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Nejib Mellouli, also addressed participants, emphasising the value of collaboration and the potential for future partnerships.

Earlier this week Malta Chamber of SMEs President Mr. Paul Abela represented the SME Chamber at the 114th International Labour Conference in Geneva 🇨🇭

Discussions revolved around the rapid developments in AI, digitalisation and an increasingly uncertain global situation and on the importance to ensure that both employers and workers are equipped with the skills, tools and support needed to adapt and thrive.

The Malta Chamber of SMEs believes that strong social dialogue, investment in skills development, and balanced policies that support both businesses and employees are essential to achieve a sustainable transition.

🟠🟣The existing 14-day right of withdrawal remains unchanged. Instead, the changes focus on making it easier for consumers to exercise this right electronically, reflecting the EU’s objective of providing a simpler and more accessible withdrawal process.

The Malta Chamber of SMEs is proud to have been awarded the IMPACT – Inclusive Mental Health Practices and Community Transformation project, funded under the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021–2027.

IMPACT will help lay the foundations for a more inclusive labour market by promoting greater awareness and understanding of financial literacy, mental health, and inclusive workplace practices.
