Stowarzyszenie Polaków na Wyspach Normandzkich pod nazwą „Polonica – Polish Association C.I.” powstało w odpowiedzi na potrzeby oraz oczekiwania społeczności polskiej na Jersey. Naszym głównym celem jest integracja Polaków na Wyspach Normandzkich, a także prowadzenie działań mających na celu umocnienie więzi pomiędzy Polakami a społecznością Jersey oraz wysp
ościennych. Pragniemy popularyzować język oraz kulturę polską, a także promować dobre imię Polski oraz Polaków, przy jednoczesnym uwzględnieniu oraz poszanowaniu lokalnej kultury i obyczajów. Chcemy promować współpracę polskich organizacji z podmiotami z Jersey oraz pozostałych Wysp Normandzkich. Wierzymy, iż planowane przez nas działania umocnią istniejące od wielu lat związki kulturalno-gospodarcze z przedstawicielami miejscowych środowisk oraz przyczynią się do stworzenia solidnych podwalin dla nowych wspólnych wyzwań i projektów. Polonica – Polish Association C.I. is a non-profit organisation that has been established to address the needs and expectations of the local Polish community that have been expressed both publicly and privately for a long time. Our paramount objective is to integrate Polish citizens living in Jersey and the other Channel Islands as well as Polish citizens with the local communities. Further to focusing on the promotion of the Polish language and the culture, we hope to promote the reputation of Poland whilst respecting at the same time the culture and distinct identity of other local societies. Our purpose is to encourage continuous cooperation between the Polish organisations and individuals with Jersey society. We strongly believe that our work will strengthen the existing cultural and commercial relationships the Polish community already enjoys with the local community and will contribute to the foundation of new joint challenges and projects.
