ABC Jersey - Breast Cancer Support A Brighter Community for Islanders affected by breast cancer, offering financial, practical & emotional support. Promoting self-checks.

Monthly Meet-Ups on last Wednesday of every month, except Aug & Dec (please see website for locations). If you having treatment for breast cancer and are feeling alone or afraid, or if you would like to meet local women with experiences similar to your own and who have a positive and lively approach, please contact the information line on 07797 814522. Alternatively, send an e-mail to: [email protected]

Please look through our website for information including cleaning and ironing services, food vouchers, return flights to the UK for yourself or a friend or family member when treatment or appointments are needed off Island, and grants for ni**le tattooing.

It's Volunteer Week 2026!

We just want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who gives their time to support ABC Jersey and our community.

From coffee mornings and monthly meet-ups, to fundraising events, awareness campaigns - your kindness, energy and support help us continue providing practical, emotional and financial help to Islanders affected by breast cancer.

Whether you volunteer regularly, help for an hour, bake a cake, shake a bucket, share a post, or simply step forward when needed… it all makes a difference.

ABC Jersey simply wouldn’t exist without the incredible people behind it. 💗

This month’s ABC Jersey meet-up is all about keeping things simple - a relaxed evening of cuppa & company with people who understand.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, going through treatment, recovering, or supporting someone you love, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

No pressure. No agenda. Just a safe, supportive space to chat, listen, share stories - or simply enjoy a cup of tea among friendly faces.

Here's a little bit about us and what we do - providing financial. practical and emotional support to islanders impacted by breast cancer.

Thank you again so much to Barclay's for their kind support and for selecting our charity. This really does make a big difference.

You'll find us this weekend at the 2026 Jersey Boat Show in the Barclay's tent and on the marina entrance on Saturday with collection buckets.

In Loving Memory of Margie.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Margaret “Margie” Megaw (née Carroll), who passed away peacefully on Friday 17th April 2026, aged 93, in the loving care of the staff at Maison St Brelade.

Remembering all the happy moments shared with a truly wonderful woman.

So much of what ABC Jersey is today is thanks to Margie’s dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment over many decades. From the very beginning, she was at the heart of the charity - our original breast cancer support volunteer, and someone so many turned to for guidance, comfort and knowledge.

Affectionately known as our “Queen in Pink”, Margie was a constant source of strength, kindness and inspiration to everyone she met. Her impact on this charity - and on countless Islanders - is immeasurable.

A loving Mum, proud Grandma and Great-Grandma, and a genuinely kind friend to so many - Margie leaves behind an incredible legacy and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her legacy will continue to live on through the support we provide every day.

Funeral Service: Relatives and friends wishing to attend Margaret’s funeral service are invited to meet at the RJA&HS Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 7th May at 1pm.

Family flowers only.
Please wear bright colours and a touch of pink in celebration of Margie’s life.

A huge thank you to Olivia Cassiano and Georgina Williams, who held a cake sale last October and raised an incredible £400 for ABC Jersey - Breast Cancer Support.

With support from their mentor group - who baked and helped on the day - this was a true team effort.

With over 40 years of leadership and governance experience, Gary joins the charity as we look ahead to our next chapter - building on 25 years of community-led impact and strengthening the support we provide to Islanders affected by breast cancer.

We’re excited for what lies ahead and grateful to everyone who continues to support ABC Jersey.
