Due to Parish Church events on the weekend of the 16th May, we are unable to open the Saturday Foodbank. Instead we will be opening a special session on Sunday 17th May. Please help us pass the word to anyone you know who uses the Saturday Foodbank service.

They are a fantastic supporter and it is so kind that they though of us again this year.

SVP Jersey would like to offer a huge thank you to the amazing staff at the States Greffe, Viscounts and Law Officers Department for their kind donation of Easter Eggs for those Islanders and their children who use our services this Easter Holiday period.

To make accessing the Western Foodbank service based at Peter's Parish Church, Jersey, we have changed the operating times to between 5:30pm and 6:30pm on Friday evenings so people can pop in at the end of their work day and collect their supplies for the weekend.

The Western Foodbank is a free Click and Collect Service where you can pre-order food, baby products, toiletries and access PAYG electricity support and collect them on the day. If you need support, please come and register with us at St Peter's Church. This service is open to people needing help in the West of the Island, primarily in St Peter, St Brelade, St Ouen, St Mary and St Lawrence.

SVP Jersey was recently aggregated with the International General Council of the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Our new logo reflects our separate conference identity affiliated with the International SSVP.

This new logo represents three key elements at the heart of SVP Jersey’s mission

• The heart points to the Sacred Heart of Jesus — Christ’s love being the centre of our mission.
• The cross reminds us that Christ guides us in our work and calls us to care for our neighbour.
• The waves represent our Island home, our link to the sea and being fishers of men as in the Gospel teachings.
• The helping hands stand for care, friendship and practical support for people in need.
• The birds reflect our commitment to reaching out — taking support into the community and not waiting for people to come to us.

A massive thank you to the members of the Jersey Nursing Association for their continued support of our work bringing our services into locations such as the Adult Mental Health Day Service at the Diner and supporting clients in places they feel comfortable. The Jersey Nursing Association has supported our work over the last few years and we are very grateful for their continued support.
