'I have been chair of Jersey Aquatic Rescue Club for most of its 23 years. During this time we have had an incredible group of people delivering training and supporting the club on committee roles.

A message from Jersey Community Foundation:
'It’s ! Did you know that volunteering in Jersey is valued at £75 million annually? Our local research, carried out last year with PwC Channel Islands, surveyed 13 health and care charities and found they generate an estimated £137 million in social and economic value annually, delivering up to £2.66 for every £1 invested.
Jersey’s third sector: Contributes more than £230 million to the island economy;
employs over 3,500 people (12% of the workforce); and is supported by more than 5,800 volunteers.
Without these volunteers change just wouldn’t happen.
To every Islander giving their time or professional skills to support our community, a huge THANK YOU. And to our volunteer board of trustees and directors, thank you for your valuable time and skills and for helping drive forward a culture of effective philanthropy based on local need in Jersey.
