We’re incredibly proud to celebrate some amazing achievements within our Scout volunteer team.

This year, we’ve had the honour of awarding:
Two Awards for Merit Claire (Meerkat) and Julia who are such positive and inspiring members of the team supporting all our Young People, Young Leaders and Leaders
30 Year Service Award Mike who holds the role of our group Vice President and has mentored many Young People and adults through his time in Scouting
5 Year Service Award Steve who currently supports our Scout team

The Award for Merit is one of the most respected honours presented by The Scout Association. It recognises outstanding service by adult volunteers who consistently go above and beyond — demonstrating exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to providing life-changing opportunities for young people.

This award isn’t just about time served; it celebrates those who make a lasting impact. From inspiring confidence and leading adventures to supporting behind the scenes, recipients truly embody the values of Scouting.

To receive the Award for Merit is a significant achievement, and having two recipients within our team is a fantastic reflection of the passion and strength of our volunteers.

Jersey Scouts

Today the 1st Jersey took over Les Quennevais pool between 1&2pm to join the community in raising
Money for local charities in the Lions Swimarathon. Our teams swam a grand total of 456 laps and raised over £700 with our new invested Squirrel Scouts aged 4 years old being the youngest and our octogenarian Vice president being the oldest pool side making up the teams.We are so proud of all the effort and enthusiasm from our swim teams. Great thanks to everyone who took part. And to everyone who has supported our event
