We had a brilliant time on our recent guided walk in Gorey – Oysters, Shipyards & Breakwaters: The Making of Gorey, with Roger Noel.

A huge thank you to Roger, who was an outstanding guide. His knowledge of Gorey’s history brought the story of the harbour to life, and he kept everyone fully engaged from start to finish.

With fantastic weather and a lovely, enthusiastic group, it was the perfect way to explore and appreciate the rich heritage of Gorey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!

For more guided walks, please check our website. National Trust for Jersey members enjoy free tickets. 💚

What a great afternoon! ☀️

Many thanks to the Team from RBC on helping us remove non-native species, specifically the Purple Dew Plant from our National Trust for Jersey land in St Ouen.

This time of year, when it is in flower, it really stands out with its bright pink flowers and red jellybean-like fleshy leaves. But unfortunately, it grows much more aggressively than our native coastal plants like sea thrift and Alderney sea lavender.

If left unchecked, this introduced plant will dominate this fragile shore-line environment, resulting in a loss of biodiversity and reducing monoculture.

We are super grateful to RBC for their time and effort in removing 90kg of this bothersome plant. 🌱

We have the best corporate volunteers! ✨

Here at The National Trust for Jersey, we want to say a HUGE thank you to who assisted Conrad our Hedgerow Officer with hedge maintenance.

This fabulous Team worked their way along numerous field boundaries, clearing vegetation that can threaten our hedging whips.

Many thanks to the Team for having helping us keep our island special, wild and beautiful 💚

REGISTER TODAY – 30 Bays Summer Challenge is back! 🌊

‘Seas’ the Summer with 30 Bays, sign-ups are officially open from today!

It’s nearly time for 30 Bays in 30 Days - now called the 30 Bays Summer Challenge. It’s the same fundraising event you know and love, but with a few small surprises as we celebrate a very special year – our 10th Birthday! 🍦

Since 2016, your participation in 30 Bays has raised vital funds for two very special local charities: the National Trust for Jersey and Jersey Hospice Care.

Thank You to everyone for those amazing efforts. You’ve helped make a difference to your island and your community. 😊

The Challenge runs July 1 – August 31

Visit 30 different bays around Jersey, over the whole summer! It’s the perfect way to explore your island, with friends, family, colleagues or by yourself.

You can take part in the challenge in various ways:
🏊 Go for a swim or dip in each bay
🍦 Stay on land and simply visit each bay – for a picnic, ice cream or build a sandcastle?
🔍 NEW for 2026 – Tide & Seek Scavenger Hunt – we’ve added a sea-related symbol to every sign. Can you find all 30? (Kindly note, Tide & Seek is part of the 30 Bays Challenge and each player, including children, must have a valid ticket)

However you choose to do 30 Bays, get out and about to enjoy the benefits and beauty of our beautiful coastal environment – whilst supporting local charities.

Thank You to Fairway Group for kindly sponsoring this year’s event!

🐝 What a buzz at The Elms!

Our Education Officer, Erin, welcomed St Martin’s School Reception class to the sunny walled garden for a fun-filled day of discovery 🌿

The children learned all about pollinators, picked up paintbrushes and had a go at “bee”-ing pollinators themselves 🎨🐝 before creating their very own wildflower seed bombs to take home and grow pollinator-friendly patches in their gardens 🌸

A huge thank you to St Martin’s for bringing so much enthusiasm and energy — we hope you loved it as much as we did! 💛
