As part of the Rakshabandhan celebrations, employees across Pune, Nagpur, Goa, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Noida, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Vadodara enthusiastically participated in an Eco-friendly Rakhi Making Activity. The rakhis were handcrafted using sustainable, environmentally friendly materials, reinforcing the importance of responsible and eco-conscious celebrations.

The handcrafted rakhis will be distributed through our NGO partners and various study centres, spreading joy while supporting meaningful community initiatives. The activity was conducted in collaboration with Sampoorna Bamboo Kendra, an NGO dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihoods and community development.

The celebrations also extended to our support staff, who came together to mark the occasion and share in the festive spirit. Their participation added to the sense of togetherness and community that Rakshabandhan represents.

To make the celebration even more meaningful, volunteers at several locations celebrated Rakshabandhan with specially abled children and school students. These interactions fostered inclusion, care and a strong sense of community, allowing employees to share the true spirit of Rakshabandhan beyond the workplace while creating lasting memories with the beneficiaries.

From Field to Future!

Persistent Foundation organised a Rice Plantation Activity at Mayem, Bicholim, Goa, where employees and their family members came together to support local farmers and experience the importance of sustainable agriculture firsthand.

Participants actively took part in rice plantation, learned about traditional farming practices, and connected with the local farming community. The enthusiasm of the volunteers was truly inspiring, with many employees even extending their support to neighbouring farmers after completing their assigned work.

The activity provided a meaningful opportunity to contribute to rural livelihoods, promote environmental sustainability, and strengthen community bonds. It also helped participants gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our farming communities.

Together, we are sowing the seeds for a greener, more sustainable future.

Persistent systems limited employees and their family members recently joined hands with The Grasslands Trust for a grassland restoration drive near Saswad.

Through native grass plantation, habitat walks, and conservation learning sessions, participants contributed to preserving vital ecosystems and supporting biodiversity. The activity provided a meaningful opportunity to understand the importance of grasslands and their role in maintaining ecological balance.

Every small action today can create a lasting impact on our environment and help build a greener, more sustainable future.

On this International Tiger Day, Persistent Foundation celebrates the power of technology in protecting one of nature’s most iconic species—the tiger.

Through our support for AI-enabled camera traps and drone-based monitoring, wildlife teams are gaining valuable insights into tiger movement, behaviour, and habitat usage, enabling faster response to emergencies and strengthening conservation efforts.

In the Paoni Unified Control Range (Buffer Zone), 38 AI camera traps have been deployed across nearly 100 sq. km, covering 18 villages. These cameras have captured more than 37,000 images to date, providing critical data for research, documentation, and forest management. The project has also contributed to the successful monitoring and capture of a male sub-adult tiger, demonstrating the effectiveness of technology-driven conservation.

Complementing this effort, a DJI Mini 3 drone has completed 127 sorties, covering over 558 km. The drone supports foot patrol teams, assists in mapping and photogrammetry, and strengthens monitoring activities across Pench Tiger Reserve and the Nagpur Territorial Division.

Beyond wildlife tracking, these technologies are helping to reduce human-wildlife conflict by enabling early detection and improved monitoring of animal movements near human settlements. This proactive approach has contributed to a reduction in conflict-related incidents while supporting safer coexistence between communities and wildlife.

By combining innovation with conservation, we are helping create a stronger ecosystem where both wildlife and communities can thrive.

Planting Hope, Growing Sustainability!

Persistent Foundation employees came together for a meaningful Rice Plantation Drive at Adawali Village, Velhe, Pune, contributing their time and effort to support farming communities and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

With hands-on participation in paddy transplantation, employees experienced the dedication and hard work of farmers while strengthening their connection with rural communities. The initiative not only supported agricultural activities but also fostered environmental responsibility and community engagement.

Learning, innovation and inspiration came together at the Persistent Foundation's 5-day Residential Summer School for Kiran Scholars.

This year's program offered hands-on learning through a ROS2 Robotics Workshop, GenAI readiness sessions and interactive life skills workshops, helping scholars build technical knowledge, confidence and essential life skills. Inspiring conversations with Kiran alumnae encouraged students to dream bigger and embrace new possibilities.

The Summer School concluded with a felicitation ceremony led by Ms. Sonali Deshpande, Chairperson, Persistent Foundation, celebrating the scholars' enthusiasm and achievements.

A heartfelt thank you to all our facilitators, partners and mentors whose guidance made this journey meaningful and memorable.

Together, we're empowering the next generation with the skills, confidence and inspiration to shape a brighter future.

Planting Seeds for Healthier Communities..

In collaboration with NEED Organisation, our volunteers packed seed packets containing methi, palak, dhaniya, bhindi, dodka, vaal, and chavadi seeds to support 300 households in creating backyard kitchen gardens. This initiative aims to improve access to fresh, nutritious food and help address concerns around anaemia and low haemoglobin levels identified in the community. Together, we are sowing the seeds for a healthier future.

At Persistent Foundation Goa, we believe that access to technology is key to creating meaningful learning opportunities for students.

Through our School Infrastructure Support Project, we have strengthened digital learning environments by providing Smart Interactive Panels to MIBK Schools, Ponda and Dell desktops and laptops to Keshav Smriti School, Dabolim.

These resources will help students and teachers embrace technology-enabled education, making learning more interactive, engaging and accessible. By supporting schools with modern digital infrastructure, we aim to equip young learners with the tools and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Together, we are creating classrooms that inspire innovation, curiosity and lifelong learning.
