Creating safe spaces for women to express, connect, and heal 💛

Under the Swadhar IDWC House of Smile Project, the first ‘Man Majhe Ha’ session brought together 64 women for meaningful conversations, meditation, games, and moments of self-expression.

This initiative aims to support women’s mental well-being by giving them a space to share, reflect, and take time for themselves. 🌸

102 young minds, one meaningful step towards a brighter future 🌱✨

On 30th April 2026, children from Buttewadi (Khed Block) and Chakan participated in an engaging summer learning camp organized by Swadhar IDWC in collaboration with HCDI. Through art, storytelling, songs, slogans, and interactive activities, students explored important topics like personal hygiene, civic sense, traffic safety, air pollution, and e-waste management.

A total of 102 enthusiastic children joined the sessions, making the camp a joyful space for learning, awareness, and creativity.

Small steps today are shaping responsible and confident citizens for tomorrow 💛

Swadhar’s Family Welfare Project – Asha Community Centre hosted a “Chand Varg” from 20th–25th April 2026, bringing together women and children for creativity and skill-building 🌼

With activities like art, drama, and origami for 56 children, and sessions on cloth sanitary pad stitching and paper flower making for 20 women, the initiative fostered learning, self-reliance, and community growth ✨

Swadhar’s Family Welfare Project Swayam hosted an engaging event, Gammat Jammat, bringing together children across centres for a day filled with joy, creativity, and shared experiences 🎨✨

At Ashraf Nagar, children immersed themselves in fun through a lively puppet show and creative tattoo-making activities, filling the space with laughter and excitement. New Padmavati turned into a mini theatre where children enjoyed watching Kung Fu Panda, making it a memorable shared experience. Meanwhile, creativity took centre stage at Shivdarshan and Parvati Darshan Support Class, where art and craft activities encouraged young minds to express themselves freely and joyfully.

Across all centres, the energy, enthusiasm, and smiles of the children made it a truly heart warming day 💛

Our child nutrition initiative, Rays of Hope (ROH), in action 💛

On April 16, 2026, we carried out a combined distribution of food grain kits for the months of April and May across three villages in the Nane Maval region Sablewadi, Mormarewadi, and Pale.

This moment captures the pure joy on the children’s faces as they received these kits a small step towards stronger, healthier futures. Through the ROH Project, we also get a closer look into their schools and the realities of their family lives.

These schools are located in Nane, Mauli Nagar, and Morwar Wadi in Maval Taluka where every effort counts, and every smile reminds us why we do what we do ✨

✨ Balnagari 2026 – A Celebration of Learning & Joy ✨

Under the House of Smile project, Swadhar IDWC hosted a special Balnagari initiative across our centers at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Bibwewadi Ota, and Upper Ota on April 16, 17 & 21.

With the enthusiastic participation of 53 students and 49 parents, the event beautifully showcased the children’s learning journey and creative expressions from the past year 🎨📚

The initiative aimed to strengthen the parent-child bond while giving parents a glimpse into their child’s growth and achievements.

We were honored to have Iravati Abhyankar Tai as our Chief Guest, along with Shubhangi Abhyankar Tai and Laxmikant Bavkar Sir, whose presence encouraged and inspired everyone present.

The smiles, excitement, and positive feedback from parents made this initiative truly meaningful 💛

🌟 Palak Manch Melava | 28 March 2025 🌟

Swadhar IDWC’s Akshardeep project organized a Palak Manch Melava under the Right to Education Awareness initiative for 31 dedicated Palak Mitra from 9 communities in Bibwewadi 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Over the past year, these committed parents have supported not just their own children but also addressed challenges across their communities improving school infrastructure, enrolling out-of-school children, and resolving transport issues 📚✨

🎤 Guided by Seematai Ranade and Programme Manager Rohinitai Hulgane, the event began with Saraswati Pujan, Deep Prajjwalan, and a warm welcome 🌸
🎶 A beautiful welcome song by Nanda Pawar set the tone for the day

💡 Insightful sessions highlighted the importance of School Management Committees (SMC) and the vital role parents play in children’s education

🗣️ Parents shared their journeys, challenges, and learnings echoing a powerful message: “Alone we cannot, but together we can.”

📈 The gathering reflected growing confidence, leadership, and collective strength among parents continuing to build better schools and brighter futures 🌈

*खेळवाडी — पालक सहभागासह प्रोजेक्ट अक्षरदीपमार्फत चालणारी प्रीस्कूल*

अक्षरदीप प्रकल्पामध्ये शालाबाह्य मुलांना शाळेत दाखल करण्याबरोबरच ३ ते ६ वर्षांच्या मुलांचा *सर्वांगीण विकास* यावर काम केले जाते. तसेच ह्या मुलांची *शालापूर्व तयारीही* केली जाते. PCMC विभागातील गांधीनगर वस्तीमध्ये गेल्या दोन वर्षांपासून, तर पुणे विभागात यावर्षापासून खेळघर उपक्रम चालवला जात आहे. याच खेळघरात यावर्षी *‘खेळवाडी’* सुरू केली आहे, जी बालकेंद्रित शिक्षणासोबत पालकांच्या सक्रिय सहभागावर आधारित आहे.

खेळवाडीत
• सुरक्षित, मुलानुरूप जागेत प्रोजेक्ट पद्धतीने मुलांच्या *सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी व शालापूर्व तयारी* केली जात आहे,
• आणि दररोज *एक पालक येऊन सर्व मुलांसाठी एक उपक्रम* घेत आहे.
यामुळे पालक घरीही मुलांसाठी योग्य अनुभव कसा द्यायचा हे प्रत्यक्ष शिकत आहेत.

या प्रक्रियेने —
• पालक मुलांच्या विकासाबाबत अधिक जागरूक आणि आत्मविश्वासी होत आहेत,
• *घरी बालकेंद्रित वातावरण तयार होत आहे*,
• आणि *पालक स्वतः शालापूर्व व्यवस्थेचा महत्त्वाचा भाग आहेत* ही जाणीव दृढ होत आहे.

अशा प्रकारे ‘खेळवाडी’ मुलांच्या शाळापूर्व तयारीसोबतच पालकांमध्ये सामायिक जबाबदारीची संस्कृती निर्माण करण्याचा प्रयत्न प्रोजेक्ट अक्षरदीप करीत आहे.

MYTH 1:एचआयव्ही व्यक्तीसोबत जेवलं तर संसर्ग होतो.

FACT:नाही. एकत्र जेवण, पाणी, भांडी शेअर केल्याने एचआयव्ही पसरत नाही.

MYTH 2: हात मिळवल्यावर किंवा मिठी मारल्यावर एचआयव्ही होतो.

FACT:नाही. स्पर्श, आलिंगन, हात मिळवणे याने एचआयव्ही होत नाही.

MYTH 3:डास चावल्याने एचआयव्ही होतो.

FACT:नाही. डास एचआयव्ही पसरवत नाहीत.

MYTH 4: एचआयव्ही असलेले लोक धोकादायक असतात.

FACT:अजिबात नाही. योग्य उपचार घेतल्यास ते सामान्य, निरोगी जीवन जगू शकतात.

MYTH 5: एचआयव्ही लगेच दिसतो किंवा ओळखता येतो.

FACT:नाही. लक्षणे नसतात; चाचणी केल्याशिवाय कळत नाही.
