For one of the world’s youngest countries, young women and q***r people in India are unable to access fulfilling civic lives nearly as much as they should. For her research project as an Echidna Global Scholar at the Brookings Institution, Vandita Morarka is delving deeper into how civil society organisations are helping build the capacity of young women and q***r people to lead in civic life in urban India.
For this study, she is eager to hear from young women and q***r people aged 18 to 35 years in two focus groups to understand their hopes for a vibrant civic life and their experiences of non-formal leadership programs run by civil society organisations.
The discussions will take place offline:
📍In Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru
🕙 From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📅 On 16th and 23rd August
