At Prerana, we’ve always championed sharing knowledge and building a stronger ecosystem of social work.
Recently, when Snehalaya reached out to us to conduct training sessions for their staff, we were thrilled!
Our team spent two days with 30 dedicated child care professionals, social workers, and counselors at Snehalaya’s campus in Ahmednagar.
The activity-heavy workshops were designed to address core, ground-level legal and procedural challenges and share and learn from each others experiences.
Over the two days, we covered:
✍️ Writing effective Social Investigation Reports (SIRs) under the JJ Act
⚖️ Navigating the POCSO Act & POCSO Rules 2020
🤝 The role of a Support Person (SP) in general and during court trials
📁 Best practices in documentation and case file maintenance for SPs
Through role-plays, group presentations, and lively discussions, the Snehalaya team brought incredible energy, deep curiosity, and valuable insights to every session.
We were deeply impressed by their remarkable scale, curiosity and warm hospitality.
Strengthening grassroots workers is a vital step toward a safer environment for every child! 🌟
Stay tuned for more updates from the ground. 🌱
