What Causes Low Hemoglobin & Anemia? | Mathura District | Project MUSKAAN

Iron deficiency, poor nutrition, infections, and untreated health conditions are common causes of low hemoglobin and anemia among women.

Through Project MUSKAAN, Anjana Foundation Public Charitable Trust (Mumbai) is conducting awareness and screening outreach across villages in Mathura District to help rural women understand risk factors and seek timely preventive care.

Early detection and regular testing at the grassroots level can significantly improve women’s health outcomes across rural Mathura.

Project Muskaan – Anemia Free India Initiative

During a rural health screening camp conducted in Village Raja Ki Ghadi, Mathura (मथुरा) district, a concerning observation emerged — 55% of women screened were found to have anemia (low hemoglobin).

The health camp was organized under Project Muskaan by Anjana Foundation Public Charitable Trust, where women were screened for anemia, thyroid disorders, diabetes, and blood pressure.

This highlights the urgent need for nutrition awareness, preventive healthcare, and regular health screening for women in rural communities.
