מה לא עברנו השנה?
עוד סבבי גיוס, עוד מלחמה עם איראן, עוד כמה הכנות למערכת נוספת מול איראן, המשך לחימה בלבנון ובעזה וכו' והכל השפיע על איתור וגיוס שליחים למפעל החשוב של תורה מציון.
הכשרת ניסן שב"ה הצלחנו להרים למרות ההגבלות הרבות על קיום פעילות, נפתחה בהתראה לאזעקה בכפר עציון אך ב"ה התקיימה כמתוכנן (לאחר שינוי מקום כמובן 😉) ובהשתתפות 20 מועמדים!
גם הכשרת הקיץ התקיימה על אף כל הקשיים והבחורים שהיו שוב במילואים.
השגת ויזות השנה אף היא מאתגרת אותנו יותר מאשר בשנה רגילה וכן יתר המשימות שיש לבצע לקראת שיגור השליחים, והנה, למרות הכל, ב"ה אתמול יצא השליח הראשון לשנה זו, הלל קימל, לשליחות משמעותית בקהילת ממפיס שבארה"ב!
נאחל לו הצלחה רבה וליתר השליחים שיבואו בעקבותיו ונאחל שהשנה תהיה קלה יותר מכל האתגרים שהיו בהוצאתה לפועל!

What haven't we been through this year?
Additional rounds of reserve duty, another direct conflict with Iran, ongoing preparations for further conflicts with Iran, continued fighting in Lebanon and Gaza, and more—all of which impacted our ability to recruit and select shlichim for Torah MiTzion's vital mission.
The March Training Seminar, which thank G-d we managed to pull off despite numerous restrictions, opened with a rocket siren warning in Kfar Etzion. Yet, it took place as planned (after a location change, of course 😉) with 20 candidates participating!
Our Summer Training Seminar also took place despite all the difficulties and the young men being called up for reserve duty once again.
Obtaining visas has also been far more challenging this year than usual, alongside all the other logistical tasks required to launch our shlichim into the field. And yet, despite everything, B”H, our first Shaliach for the coming year sets off: Halel Kimmel, heading out on a meaningful mission to the Memphis community in the U.S.!
We wish him tremendous success, as well as to all the shlichim who will soon follow in his footsteps. May this coming year be much smoother than the process of bringing it to fruition!

יש מעגלים שמרגש במיוחד לראות נסגרים ❤️

את דוד אנחנו מכירים עוד מילדותו במוסקבה. הוא גדל במשפחה שהייתה חלק מקהילת כולל תורה מציון בעיר, והשתתף לאורך השנים בפעילויות הקהילה.

לימים עלה דוד לישראל והמשיך את הקשר במסגרת תוכנית הסטודנטים של "גישה יהודית" לדוברי רוסית. שם הוא הכיר את שרה, ירושלמית המשתתפת גם היא בתוכנית.

והיום - דוד ושרה מתחתנים! 💍

ממוסקבה לירושלים, מילדות בקהילה ועד להקמת בית בישראל - איזה מרגש לראות את הדרך ואת החיבורים שצומחים לאורך השנים.
מזל טוב, דוד ושרה! ❤️ מאחלים לכם שתזכו לבנות יחד בית של שמחה, תורה ואהבת ישראל!

There are some circles that are especially moving to see come full circle ❤️

We have known David since his childhood in Moscow. He grew up in a family that was part of the Torah MiTzion Kollel community in the city and took part in community activities throughout the years.

Later, David made Aliyah and continued his connection through the Russian-speaking student program of “Gisha Yehudit.” It was there that he met Sarah, a Jerusalemite who also participates in the program.

And today — David and Sarah are getting married! 💍

From Moscow to Jerusalem, from growing up in the community to building a home in Israel — how moving it is to see the journey and the meaningful connections that grow over the years.

Mazal Tov, David and Sarah! ❤️
May you merit to build a home together filled with joy, Torah, and love for the Jewish people!

בחסדי ה' - נס גדול בקייפטאון!

אתמול, דירת המגורים של שליחי תורה מציון בקייפטאון: איתן, שלום והראל, נשרפה כליל. (זהו מבנה המשמש את שליחי הארגון כבר למעלה מ־30 שנה)

בחסדי שמים, רק הראל שהה בדירה והוא יצא בשלום.
בתוך רגעי האימה התגלתה גם גבורה יוצאת דופן: הראל, בתושייה ובאומץ, הציל מהבניין הבוער שני תינוקות מהקהילה היהודית ואת המטפלת שלהם.
אנו מודים לקב"ה על הנס!

לצד ההודיה, ההלם גדול. נשרף כל רכושם האישי של הבחורים: בגדים, ספרי לימוד, תפילין, ציוד וחפצים חיוניים.

כעת הקהילה המקומית התגייסה כדי לסייע להם להתחיל מחדש, וגם אנחנו מבקשים לקחת חלק במאמץ.

Baruch HaShem – A Great Miracle in Cape Town!
A few days ago, the apartment of the Torah Mitzion shlichim in Cape Town—Eitan, Shalom, and Harel—was completely destroyed by a fire. (This apartment has served the organization's shlichim for over 30 years.)
Thank G-d only Harel was in the apartment at the time, and he got out safely.
Amidst the moments of horror, an act of extraordinary heroism unfolded: with great resourcefulness and bravery, Harel managed to rescue two babies and their nanny from the burning building.
We thank Hashem for this miracle!
Alongside our gratitude, the shock is immense. All of the young men's personal belongings were lost in the fire: clothes, books, Tefillin, equipment, and essential items.
The local community has mobilized to help them rebuild, and we, too, are asking you to take part in this effort.
