35 years ago, Operation Solomon brought 14,310 Ethiopian Jews home to Israel.

This is the story as told by the second and third generations who carry its legacy forward.

As a strategic partner of The Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Hayesod proudly supported this historic mission through its support of the Jewish Agency and its work bringing Jewish communities home to Israel.

Supporting Israel’s youth is one of our most important missions.

The communities of the Eshkol Regional Council, near the Gaza border, were deeply impacted by October 7. After a long period of displacement, families are finally returning home - making supportive spaces for children and teens more important than ever.

Places like the Eshkol Community Arts Center help young people rebuild a sense of security, belonging, and routine through music and creativity. 🎸💙

Thank you for helping the next generation heal and feel at home again ✨

Here’s a glimpse into the beautiful Shavuot ceremony at Kiryat Yearim Youth Village, and a reminder of the importance of support, belief, and nurturing - both in education and in agriculture.

Just like seeds need care, patience, and the right environment to grow, so does our youth 🌱💙

More than just Cheesecake! 🌾

Do you know why we celebrate Shavuot?

While the traditions are delicious, the holiday carries deep meaning found in its different names:

📜 Chag Shavuot (The Festival of Weeks) The grand finale of a 49-day countdown (the Omer) that starts at Passover. We count the weeks from the moment we left Egypt until we reached mount Sinai

🧺 Chag HaBikkurim (The Festival of First Fruits) Back in the day, this was the time of the "First Fruits" parade! Farmers would bring their first crops to the Temple in Jerusalem as an expression of gratitude for the season’s harvest.

📖 Chag Matan Torah (The Giving of the Torah) About 3,000 years ago, on Shavuot, the Jewish people stood at the foot of Mount Sinai and received the Torah. That moment transformed us into one nation, united by shared laws, values, and identity.

🚜 Chag HaKatzir (The Harvest Festival) Shavuot marks the beginning of the wheat harvest in Israel. It’s a beautiful reminder of our deep connection to the land and the value of hard work.

From the very beginning, Keren Hayesod has supported the establishment of agricultural communities all across Israel. Today, we are proud to continue supporting dozens of these communities, addressing their evolving needs.

Happy Shavuot! 🤍✨

In such a challenging reality, your support provided these families from the North, the South, and bereaved families with a much-needed moment of joy and renewed strength. Thank you for making this possible! 💙

We are incredibly proud of the robotics team (XO7039) for their
outstanding performance at the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston, Texas!

and succeed on the global stage.
This success is a testament to the power of long-term investment in our youth. Congratulations to the mentors and students on this historic milestone! ✨
