WHO WE ARE
Bnei Akiva is a Jewish religious Zionist youth movement, which inspires and empowers young Jews all over the world with a sense of commitment to the Jewish people, the Land of Israel and the Torah, placing an emphasis on the value of Aliyah to the State of Israel. World Bnei Akiva, a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Jerusalem, works with Jewish communities in the Diaspora, as

sisting and strengthening the local Bnei Akiva snifim (branches), as well as the wider Jewish community. We are the biggest Zionist youth movement in the world, active in 23 countries, 43 cities, with over 100 snifim and represented by over 100 shlichim (emissaries). WHAT WE BELIEVE
We proudly believe in a religious Zionist ideology, which combines the twin values of Torah (Jewish values, learning and practice) and Avodah (living a Modern Orthodox lifestyle and contributing to the State of Israel) into one holistic vision. The ultimate realization of this vision is Aliyah, where we play our part in building our national and spiritual home. This vision is encompassed in the motto ‘Torah Va’Avodah’ - Torah & Work. Our unique style of peer-led, informal education encourages Jewish youth to turn from being takers to givers, contributing to their local community and educating other children to join the Bnei Akiva and adopting our ideals. In an increasingly materialistic age, the movement is a counter-culture in which volunteering, idealism and passion are what matters. MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to educate Jewish youth around the world to live by the movements ideology of Torah Va’Avodah, by way of an inclusive approach, and to encourage Aliyah by instilling a love for Israel through Zionist education. WHAT WE DO
At the heart of our movement’s success is informal, role-model education. At weekly meetings and on camps, our madrichim (youth leaders) teach religious Zionist values to our chanichim (participants) in fun and innovative ways, in turn inspiring them to become the madrichim of the future. Shlichim - To assist in this core task, World Bnei Akiva works directly with Jewish communities in 23 countries across six continents by sending them shlichim to work with the madrichim and chanichim of Bnei Akiva around the world. Currently we have more than 100 shlichim working across the globe. International programs - We offer a diverse selection of World Bnei Akiva organized programing around the world. Everything from summer and winter camps, to leadership seminars and training, as well as other programs and events. Israel programs - Every year, over 1000 young people take part in our short-term programs and flagship Hachshara gap year programs in Israel. Whether learning, hiking or volunteering, participants experience the best of what Israel has to offer, in a Bnei Akiva framework. Aliyah - Once one of our bogrim (graduates) of the movement decides its time to move to Israel, World Bnei Akiva is there for them, helping to make arrangements so that their Aliyah will be both smooth and successful.

Generations of mutual responsibility and self-sacrifice 🇮🇱

Today, Yehuda Katz, of blessed memory (HY”D), was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Har HaZeitim in Jerusalem.

44 years after he was taken captive alongside his comrades in the Battle of Sultan Yaakov, Yehuda has finally come home. His return brings a painful yet deeply moving closure to a journey spanning more than four decades , and reflects the State of Israel’s unwavering commitment to bringing its sons home and ensuring they receive a Jewish burial.

Yehuda was a dedicated Torah scholar, deeply immersed in the world of Torah, who saw serving in the IDF not as a contradiction, but as a profound privilege and responsibility. He chose to wear the uniform, defend the people of Israel and take part in the building of the Jewish state. His life embodied the powerful connection between Torah, national responsibility and dedication to Am Yisrael.

Generations before us carried this responsibility too. Yosef HaTzadik made his brothers promise that when the time came, they would bring his bones out of Egypt:

“God will surely remember you, and you shall bring up my bones from here.” — Genesis 50:25

And generations later, Moshe Rabbeinu kept that promise, carrying Yosef’s bones with the nation as they left Egypt.

From Egypt to the Land of Israel, from generation to generation, the message remains the same: we do not forget our own. No one is left behind.

We are proud to be part of a people that remembers its sons, carries responsibility for one another, and never stops bringing its people home.

May Yehuda’s memory be a blessing. 🕯️🇮🇱

There’s something special about bringing generations of World Bnei Akiva together 💙

Last night, we wrapped up the annual Bnei Akiva Germany reunion at our Beit Bnei Akiva in Jerusalem, bringing together alumni, olim, former shlichim and this year’s shlichim!

This year, we were also excited to welcome the Bar & Bat Mitzvah trip from the Düsseldorf community, led by our shlichim Raz and Yedida Danan, with parents and children joining together for a week in Israel.

Plenty of good food and even better company! 🇩🇪🇮🇱

Introducing our new Bogrim Baaretz couple: Shoshi & Ezri!

Making Aliyah and building a life in Israel can be challenging, especially when you’re doing it without an established community. That’s where Shoshi & Ezri come in! 💙

As the new home base for Bogrim Baaretz in Jerusalem, they’ll be hosting events in their home, offering support when needed, and creating a warm space where you can always feel at home in Israel. 🇮🇱

Bogrim Baaretz is World Bnei Akiva’s programming for Bnei Akiva bogrim who have made Aliyah. It’s a place to meet like-minded young adults, learn Torah, build connections, and create community in Israel.

Chodesh Tov! Today and tomorrow is Rosh Chodesh Elul.🍎

Only being one month away from Rosh Hashona, Elul invites us to look within ourselves and prepare for the new year.

While Rosh Hashona approaching might seem like a daunting thought, we must remember that Hashem is our Father first and He loves us dearly. Everything we need to do proper Teshuva is already within us.

🇮🇹 Italy arrive at Machane Israel! 🇮🇱

27 chanichim from Shevet Chaim (age 17) from Milan and Rome have arrived in Israel for their first organized Israel experience with World Bnei Akiva!

Preparing to become the next generation of madrichim in their snifim, they are spending 3 incredible weeks exploring Israel, volunteering, learning, and connecting to the values of Torah v’Avodah.

From Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, to Sar-El & Gadna army experiences, Eilat, the Dead Sea and Masada, this is more than a tour of Israel. It’s a journey of leadership, responsibility, and connection.

Organized by World Bnei Akiva, together with our shlichim Yair Danzig (Milan), Federico Spizzichino (Rome), and the Vaad horim of Milan and Rome. Thank you for making it happen!

“Machane Israel” is World Bnei Akiva’s classic Israel Teen Tour for Jewish teens from around the world - combining adventure, volunteering, learning, and a deeper connection to Israel.
