We have been blown away by the response this year, with well over double the number of applications compared to last year.

We are extremely grateful to every artist and creative who took the time to submit their work. Due to the volume of applications received, we are unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback.

Our team will now take the time to carefully review all submissions, and we will contact all applicants in the coming weeks.

We are particularly interested in:
🔥 Live and audience centred work
🌙 Site responsive and outdoor experiences
🎭 Theatre, music, visual arts, workshops, happenings, and community led projects
🍂 Work that feels connected to time, place, and people

Artists from Mayo and the North West are especially encouraged to apply.

Taking place from 28th of October to the 1st of November, Westival 2026 invites artists, performers, makers, collectives, and community groups to propose work that responds to gathering, atmosphere, transition, place, and shared experience.

We are particularly interested in:
🔥 Live and audience centred work

🎭 Theatre, music, visual arts, workshops, happenings, and community led projects
🍂 Work that feels connected to time, place, and people

Delighted to have won a Cathaoirleach Award last night for contribution to the arts in 2025. A lovely award for all the volunteers and artists that made Westival 2025 a record-breaking year.

Plans are underway for the 2026s festival, with news coming in the coming weeks 👀
