🌟 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – JOIN MAYO AUTISM CAMP THIS SUMMER! 🌟

Are you looking for a rewarding way to spend a few hours this summer? We'd love to hear from you!

Mayo Autism Camp is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help create a fun, welcoming and supportive environment for autistic children and young people.

💙 Become a Buddy and support a child during camp activities
🎨 Help with Arts & Crafts
⚽ Get involved in Sports & Games
🎵 Share your love of Music
🫖 Assist with social groups, refreshments and more

No special qualifications are required – just a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and a passion for making a difference. Whether you have a talent to share or simply enjoy meeting people and lending a hand, there is a place for you at Mayo Autism Camp.

📅 Camp Dates:

Week 1: July 28th, 29th & 30th
Week 2: August 4th, 5th & 6th
⏰ 11:00am – 1:30pm daily

Location: Manulla FC (F23 KF66)

Don't worry if you can't commit to every day – we're flexible and would love whatever time you can give.

🎨✨ The Crow Creative Workshops – Westport ✨🧠

The Crow Gallery, in collaboration with One Westport and Westport Autism Friendly Town is launching two exciting workshop projects for adults (18+) in the Westport area — designed especially for differently abled participants in a welcoming, supportive environment.

🌱 Personal Development Workshops
Build confidence, self-awareness, and clarity around goals and dreams through guided small-group sessions.

🎨 Arts Workshops
The Art Workshops will support differently abled artists to develop their existing work, create new ideas, explore new mediums and techniques in a relaxed and inclusive space.

📍 Location: Westport Town Hall from July

📅 Information Session: Thursday 18th June 12:30pm
👥 Small groups | Adults 18+

Whether you want to grow personally, express yourself creatively, or connect with others in the community — these workshops offer a safe and inspiring place to do just that.

☀️ Exciting summer plans are coming up with Mayo Autism Camp!

From June 29th, families can enjoy 4 weeks of summer activities, followed by a 2-week Family Camp starting July 28th. There’s also a 2-week Erris Camp from August 11th, plus surfing camps, horse riding, and youth club activities throughout July & August. 🌊🐴🎉

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️Jackie and Mark will share their respective stories as part of our Carer Speaker Series this National Carers Week.

On Monday 8th June at 7.30pm, Mark will discuss his experience supporting his son’s transition to adult services. On Thursday 11th June at 10am, hear Jackie’s experience of navigating years of school avoidance and battling systems before she began a process of unschooling her child.
