What must be the smallest creature we ever rescued is this little Moorish Gecko.
It arrived in Waterford from France inside a parcel delivery. We contacted the The National Reptile Zoo in Kilkenny and the wonderful staff there offered to take into their care. ❤️

Following her recent rescue little " Laura" is now on the road to a full recovery. The staff at Suirside Veterinary Clinic have been fantastic. She's now a happy and confident little kitten again. ❤️❤️❤️.

LAURA'S RESCUE.

On Saturday afternoon (17:30) we attended a call in Tramore for a kitten stuck in a drainage pipe under a kitchen floor. The house owner had tried to release the kitten which had been trapped for over 24 hours. We knew after failed attempts that specialised help was required. We contacted Ryanorod and John Ryan who travelled over an hour from St. Mullins to assist us with his specialised equipment. Paul Connelly (Plumber) from Tramore also attended to help with water piping removal to gain access to the kitten.

Hi all. Unfortunately finding the time to do catch ups is difficult. However, the work load still involves time and total dependency on our volunteers who give up their free time to help run the shelter as well as attending calls. Rita and her volunteers do amazing work at our shop and we thank you all for your continued support. Waterford Animal Welfare is a totaly voluntary run charity.
