Call into the branch at 16 Beau Street Waterford between 9AM and 9PM to speak to someone in person. Supporting the c
allers is a privilege and a responsibility. Samaritans Waterford and South East have over 120 volunteers who come from all walks of life and have committed to having the helpline available to those who need it 24-7. The branch is run by local volunteers and any fundraising or donations go towards keeping the Samaritans Waterford and South East Branch open and available to those that need it. Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by su***de. They work to achieve this vision by providing emotional support to those that need it. However a person does not have to be suicidal to call Samaritans and trained volunteers are available to listen and support people experiencing emotional distress, despair, loneliness, or who want to talk about something on their mind. Samaritans don’t skirt around issues and will talk to people about what they are going through in an non-judgemental accepting way. Samaritans Waterford and South East also engage with the local community to make people aware of the service and that it is there to support anyone who needs it.
